Whitney’s DC concert in the 90s is my favorite concert. I believe someone had it taken down. Whoever is running her website should allow us to watch it from the website or put it back on YouTube. As long as that concert roamed around on YouTube, they should have let it stay on YouTube. Whitney felt like family through that concert. The night all her friends were there is the one I saw with Monica & Shirley Caesar. It’s one of the best concerts that we have left of her in my book. I love watching that concert. The way Whitney performed on stage made me feel right at home. I don’t care about how well they say she didn’t perform. Whitney performed good enough for me. Her singing was heard and understood well enough.
People loved it when Whitney sang not only her songs. They loved it when she sang songs by other artists like Chaka Khan’sI’m Every Woman. She sung it at her concert in 1994 Brazil. Whitney Houston could move a crowd with that song. She also moved the crowd at her concert in DC.

in 1999. I love how she was dressed in purple and black. I enjoyed all of the songs she had sung. I greatly enjoyed how she performed her song “Heartbreak Hotel” with a little remix of MJ.
One night after Whitney's death, I went to sleep with her on my mind. I kept seeing her in my dreams. I heard her voice saying, "Don't let anyone trouble you. Go on and lift the Savior up though they are not impressed. Keep on thanking Jesus." The message is a true message. That's why I have posted this video of Whitney Houston. She is singing, Yes Jesus Loves Me.
Whitney Houston's concerts are fun to watch. If you were at a Whitney Houston concert in the past, you know that she would seek those that could Shoop. When this song was first released, I never saw her in concerts performing Shoop. I wish now that I had seen them. Whitney's concerts help to make her songs hits I do believe. I did not like Shoop when I heard the song, but her concert gave it a great illustration. It added more meaning to the song for me seeing Whitney reaching out to people and sharing her talent singing this song. It looked like promotion then and now more so than ever. Watching Whitney perform is like she really isn't gone from us. When we watch Whitney and her sense of humor, we can smile remembering her. Whitney made the Shoop song a great song with her love for people. I just didn't know Whitney the way I know her now. I appreciate her more with better understanding. Now when I hear the Shoop song, I hear it differently.
In the Audience, people loved Whitney. Some of them would go up on stage just to get a hug from her. One girl was so excited that she did not care to sing the Shoop song. She just adored Whitney.
If she could come back, the world wouldn't be the same. I mean in a good way. We need to see such miracle.

To me, Candace has a great voice. She was so excited about Whitney Houston that she was sometimes off key. Candace was not concentrating on her singing looking up to Whitney so much. Whitney knew Candace could sing and was so into her singing. When Candace would stop to talk, Whitney would hold her head wishing that Candace would sing. Candace was an excited fan with a big voice. Whitney had a lot of heart for her fans. Candace might would have had a chance to be a singer, but she was just too excited. She saw and heard Whitney and was overlooking herself. Whitney was trying to give Candace a chance because Whitney knew her fans had something too. Whitney made room for others.
Look at what we lost. I didn't know Whitney could imitate Michael Jackson so well in singing. She didn't bother with his dance moves much. Whitney showed a little bit of him in hand motion. Ha! Ha! Ha! The girl had it going on yall. This concert should have been all over television. Michael and Whitney were friends. I did not know that until her death. Well, Whitney and Michael are both gone now. To me, the best music is gone with them. They were the real talent.
When Whitney was performing at Constitution Hall, I loved her 3 backup singers through the whole concert. I especially liked the way they backed her up singing Waiting to Exhale (Shoop). They could really shoop. In 7:42 of the video, I love the way they break it down.
I wonder did they back Whitney up on any of her records. They are awesome singers and their voices blend well.
Whitney's Shoop Audience
Whitney also had a Shoop audience featuring BeBe Winans, Pastor Shirley Caesar, and Monica. It tickled me so bad that Shirley Caesar got into the action in a gospel way. I didn't think Whitney was going to get the mic back. Bobbi Kristina tickled me too. She was so cute.
A Whitney Houston concert was a lot of fun. I wish I had been there. I don't know nothing about no shoop, but if Whitney would have called on me to shoop, I would have done a little something of my own. Knowing me, I would have added something extra to the song and ended it with a shoop.
Whitney's fame came from man, and her talent came from God. We
don't know any better but to do things man's way. Man's way can be very
tiresome and all of the things that may not be good for you mentally and
physically. They will work the you know what out of you, and cheat you
too. Man cares more about a dollar bill than anything in this world. It
seems to be his god. Everybody knows that the entertainment world can
be something else. So Whitney had a God given talent that was bigger than man's entertainment.
Yesterday, I was talking with a guy. He was talking about all of the
mistakes he made in life and how he could have been living large.
However, he spent most of his money on liquor. I think we all do dumb
things when we are not happy. To make a long story short, we started
talking about music and how we missed Whitney. He said, "I am so sick
and tired of that rap mess." Considering the kind of guy that he was, I
did not expect that to come out of his mouth. What Whitney had will
never grow old. Her albums to me are gold. I didn't learn anything about life and love through hip hop, but I did listening to Whitney. Her albums will probably get played more times than old school rap. She is a true legend.
Whitney Houston had the right idea about music. She should have been allowed to do things her way which was the right way. Whitney should have had time to rest when she wanted to and not over work herself. Don't they know that stress can make a person not do their best? It was probably stress that drove Whitney to drugs and drinking. Everybody wanted Whitney. She started doing movies. Yet, there were some people that wanted to degrade Whitney about her music and her life. Whitney was truly soul and truly black and real. We have our own eyes to see and not what the media tells us. We could see what was up, and we could see what was going down and why. Like Whitney, some of us do not get a kick out of seeing tabloids either. We don't all enjoy that someone has a downfall and all of the gossip. It's a sin, but again, it's all about that dollar bill. It is the way of the world, and God is frowning.
In the picture above, to me, Whitney looks like a minister. She had the right idea when she sung a couple of gospel songs. Whitney had God on her mind or else she would not have done what she did. She did not seem to forget God, and she had love for people. If God was not in her soul, she would not have had as much love as she did. Whitney wanted us to love her too, and I do. She wasn't just some old diva. Whitney was a natural woman with natural talent. That made her the best. She had a downfall, but she held on to her God. God looks at the heart.

Often, I think about the lyrics to Whitney Houston's song, Step by Step. There are words that stand out that she sings like, DON'T GIVE UP, GOT TO KEEP MOVIN', and YOU GOT TO HOLD ON TO WHAT YOU GOT. Sometimes I feel like giving up thinking about all of the things that I have to do that are taking forever to get done. It is mainly because of God that I do not stop because he told me not to before I ever heard Whitney's song. I could not help but notice that she was sending out a message that was given to me from the Lord. I try to hold on to what I have which is God. Without him, I wouldn't make it and would not have the things that are given by the Lord. As I think of the title of the song, Step by Step, I think of a Bible verse. (Psalm 37:23) The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way.
Sometimes I think about what I have lost like my mother. It feels as if Whitney is a part of me too and she is gone also. If you have lost anyone, hold on to what you have inside, keep movin', and don't give up. You will see them again.
