Whitney Houston: Man in the Mirror (Tribute to MJ)

Whitney Houston: …. When someone gives you five decades of their life to music; to entertaining you nonstop; five decades of his life, you must give him an applause. …

This is Whitney Houston’s opening night of her tour in Moscow, Russia.  She gave tribute to Michael Jackson singing Man in the Mirror. Whitney sounds kind of like Michael singing his song. The crowd loved it. Whitney could throw down when it came to MJ.

Whitney should have been allowed to perform a song with Michael when they were alive. They were both greatly loved and talented. No harm would have been done. A lot of times the music business is just crazy. Michael and Whitney could have worked together on their own in a home studio. People need to learn how to rebel sometimes because nobody is always right. Sometimes you need to test things out and see what might happen or you’ll never know. If the two great stars would have made a flop, it just would have been a flop that’s all. Not the end of their careers. Mike and Whit had nothing to loose. They were already both giant stars.

Watching Whitney give tribute to Michael is proof that she had a whole lot more to give. She wasn’t allowed to go but so far it seemed. She had to sing the kind of songs her producer wanted her to, but Whitney had a lot more within. Nobody tried to bring that part out, but it was there. I can see and recognize it. She had some of Michael’s style.

Whitney Houston - Wanna Be Startin Somethin

Wikipedia

Do you remember when Whitney Houston sung live at MJ 30th Anniversary Celebration.? It was the year of 2001, and now when I look back at the video, Whitney was singing Michael's song as if it had been made for her to sing. "If you can't feed your baby, then don't have a baby". She was sining Michael Jackson's "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" with the same attitude and expression in her voice. ....

Gloria Gaynor I Will Survive - A Song For All of Us

YouTube
Whenever I hear Gloria Gaynor's song, "I Will Survive", it really helps me along. It is a song for all of us.  Gloria sung it to MJ, a friend to Whitney Houston. Gloria sung it at Michael's 30th Anniversary who is also resting in peace. We all will survive in the afterlife if we do our best while we live in this life. Never give up.

Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston Remix

Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston Remix We have some talented music mixers out there. Some of them are DJ’s in clubs, some of them are DJ’s on the radio, some of them are at home, and some of them are in a recording studio. With technology, a record doesn’t have to be made with two people singing together at the same time either. This remix proves that two songs by two artists can be mixed as if they made one song together. Check it out.

Whitney and Michael Should Have Made a Record Together

Google Image
It is said that Whitney and Michael never made a record together. Michael Jackson wanted Whitney to record his duet, "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" in the 80's. Whitney was burning up the charts and her first album was hot. It is said that Whitney's record label, Arista, would not take Michael's offer. They were afraid that she would be overexposed. Sounds like a poor excuse to me whatever that means. I have never heard of such a thing in my life from the music business. Both Whit and Mike were hot. If you are hot, you are hot. Why would there be a problem? Yes, Whitney was new and that would not have been a good excuse either. Whitney was already known when she sung with Jermaine Jackson which is Michael's brother. The world was just beginning to know Whitney during that time. People love to hear great singers together whether they are new or not. People loved Jermaine and Whitney when they sung a duet together. As a matter of fact, I remember hearing them sing two songs together. They were, If You Say My Eyes are Beautiful, and Nobody Loves Me Like You Do. Whitney Houston even sung with Teddy Pendergrass. Michael was the king of pop and Whitney was rising high. They were both great singers.   I don't know what Arista's problem was truly. Whitney and Michael should have made a record together.

Well, Whitney went on singing down through the years and never made a record with Michael. Why come? What was the excuse after she had been in the business making hits for a while? If I had been thinking like I am thinking now, I would have been signing a petition. Well, it's too late now.

Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Akon Remix

From YouTube
Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Akon are remixed. "HOLD MY HAND", and "MY LOVE IS YOUR LOVE". However, I have heard of a better version of this remix. It seems as if Whitney and Michael are singing more of the chorus, Hold My Hand, together in this version. It seems like one song. You don't get to hear the chorus from Whitney's song.  It seems like Whitney's song was made to be Michael's song. In the better version, I have heard the chorus of Whitney's song mixed with the chorus from Michael's song and the whole 9 yards.

Whitney Houston MJ Tribute

From YouTube
Look at what we lost. I didn't know Whitney could imitate Michael Jackson so well in singing. She didn't bother with his dance moves much. Whitney showed a little bit of him in hand motion. Ha! Ha! Ha! The girl had it going on yall. This concert should have been all over television. Michael and Whitney were friends. I did not know that until her death. Well, Whitney and Michael are both gone now. To me, the best music is gone with them. They were the real talent.

Whitney Houston I Wanna Dance With Somebody Remix With Michael Jackson

From Concert Constitution Hall
Whitney would sing her song, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody".  That was another song that was truly Whitney. She loved dancing. When I saw her in one of her concerts dancing with Bobby Brown, that's when I began to realize that Whitney was a dancer. She just needed somebody to bring that dancer out of her. Just because Whitney didn't dance much while singing didn't mean that she couldn't dance. The dancer was in her, and I could tell.

Did you know that Whitney could mock Michael Jackson singing? I heard her singing some of his songs on YouTube from one of her concerts. She sounds just like him. Whitney and Michael could have made some songs together. He might would have taught her some dance moves. Whitney was so fly. She was cool in style. If some people couldn't see it, I don't know why.
