Happy Holidays - Whitney Houston

Hi, I’m Whitney Houston and I’m Wishing you all a very very happy holiday season. God Bless!

Whitney Houston is no longer here physically with us. I hope to continue to see her in my dreams. It doesn’t happen often. If she were here today, I would give her a shout out on social media and say: “Hey Whitney, when you’re traveling the road again with Pat, swing my way and come see me! I’m not far!” I really wish Whitney were here.

It’s Good That Whitney Tried To Stand By Her Man

It’s good that Whitney Houston tried to stand by her man. She could have just given up early, divorced, and got married to someone else. In God’s sight, Bobby Brown would have always been her husband even if there would have been marriage to someone else. Maybe Bobby and Whitney started out trying to keep their marriage vows to God. After all, Whitney was a church lady and had church upbringing. However, when Whitney and Bobby divorced, God understood. He does not want two people together in misery and pain. God loves his sons and daughters. The Lord knows that there are things in life that can be too much for us to bare. God never intended for a man to leave his wife but he allowed divorce.

Deut. 24 Bill of divorcement …

Luke 16:18 - Whosoever putteth away his wife …

Matt. 5:32 - Saving the cause of fornication …

And there are more verses found.

Whitney Houston Christmas Foundation for Children

Most of the time when Whitney Houston was talked about large in the news, I saw her  getting ready for a concert or a movie. If Whitney was doing something to help someone like the Christmas Foundation Party for Children, I didn’t hear about it as much. I don’t think Whitney bragged or told the world too much about what she did to help someone. She probably helped a whole lot of people and probably have done a lot of good things. We probably just didn’t hear about it.  I think she was trying to keep the world out of her personal life as it was, and tried to keep some things a secret.

It’s not good to tell everything about yourself. It’s not good to tell everything you do. That can be dangerous. People can invade your private life and sometimes that can get you killed. It seemed the media was so busy watching Whitney’s every move to catch her doing something wrong for the tabloids. It was great to hear something good about Whitney helping someone when it was told, but a gossip world doesn’t hear the good things. They don’t have much to say about what’s good. They want to talk negative when they should be speaking life and uplifting someone like Whitney tried to do.

Whitney was the host of the Kids Choice Awards on Nickelodeon around 1995. On TV guide, she looked beautiful. Whitney had a TV detective look. Do you remember the TV drama series that aired on CBS in the 80’s called Cagney and Lacey? It sure would have been nice to see Whitney in a detective TV Drama. Whitney had the looks for movies and television.

Whitney Houston - Zion by Gail Nobles

Everyday I think of Whitney Houston. I hope I’ll see her in God’s kingdom. I believe that I will. The Lord must have told her that he was going to take her home. She talked as if she knew she would leave us. Whitney looked as if she was trying to live her life better. The Lord told me not to worry. I’m looking forward to meeting Whitney one day in the Lord’s Kingdom.

ZION

In loving memory of Whitney Houston (I’ll think of you and you) (Zion) (Every step of the way) (Zion) (Oh Whitney moved not too far away) (Zion)

Whitney Houston had one wish for Christmas Joy and peace on earth. And she’s not that far away because of THE COMFORTER. Let’s hope in the SAVIOR (Cause they’ll be better days) (Zion)

Whitney Houston Was Tired

Whitney Houston was tired and wanted to take the time to raise her daughter. In the music business, it seems that you really can’t live the life that you want to live. I believe it’s true what they say when they tell you that you become a product. The business couldn’t have cared because Whitney had to keep going and going. There is always more, more, and more. It’s never enough. Whitney Houston was not some old product. Whitney Houston was a human being. She deserved to take all the time off that she needed after all the great success and making someone else rich as well as herself.

Something Higher Than Jersey

Luke 17:21 “Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Yes, Whitney Houston was from Jersey and from the black race. However, God did not care about where she was from nor did it matter to him about her race. Whitney had something inside of her. God gave her singing talent and allowed her into the Rock-N-Roll world. She went in to entertain the world, but she didn’t forget to praise God. When she walked into the Rock-N-Roll world, she brought clean and meaningful music. After a while, something of that world did not want it. Whitney woke some people up with her talent. Minds started to open. Whitney was showing those in music what real music was about. Whitney had something from heaven and she was teaching it. She was a threat to something of that world called Rock-N-Roll. It is a world where evil doesn’t have to exist. Whitney Houston help to prove that by simply using what God had given her and carrying him with her wherever she went.

Something about Whitney Houston didn’t connect with the spirit of some. Whitney was different with her talent and rare. It had nothing to do with being black or white. I do believe it had more to do with God. Whitney wanted the world to accept her, but when you are trying to stand for something good, you have to forget the world and do what is needed to be done. Let the world be the world. Whitney had something special and was not like the rest of the world with it. I wish I could have told her while she was living.

When God gives you something, you don’t need to be like everybody else. Just follow the Lord and do things the way he tells you to because his way is better. Whitney was clean with her music. And God allowed her to have success, fame, and money. But when you want the world to accept you, it makes you go in the direction of the world to fit in with everyone else. The Lord was Whitney’s very best friend. The world around her was doing her wrong.

Being from Jersey and being black was not important. Whitney had something higher than that. God was her maker. He was her family and the Lord of host.

Whitney Houston: The Group Sunday - I Know

Photo credit:: YouTube

Whitney Houston and Robyn Crawford managed the girl group Sunday. I wrote about them a few times on this blog and finally found a video of their song, I Know. People still mention them, and I always wonder what they are doing now. I haven’t heard anymore news about them. I wish they would return and sing. They were an awesome singing group.

Sometimes It Only Looked Like Stress for Whitney Houston

The media talked about Whitney Houston so bad. They made it looked as if Whitney was evil, going insane, and they always said she was on drugs. There were things some of the fans saw with their own eyes. They saw that she was overwhelmed sometimes, but they wanted those autographs. The media made it look and sound like Whitney was so terrible. However, people don’t like to look at things with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. They just want to speak bad about a person.

John 7:24 “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”

When they said Whitney Houston was doing drugs, it may not have always been drugs. I believe some of it was stress and depression. That may have drove her to drugs. That could happen to anyone. I don’t care who or what you may be. I know for myself that a lot of stress can cause you to have a break down. It can cause you to loose your hair. It can cause you to feel sick. I remember when one of my friends was found on the floor and couldn’t move because of stress. Stress can cause a lot of things. Sometimes real strange and unusual things. A person can’t take but so much.

Whitney Houston Could Have Been a Great Dancer

Whitney's MJ Tribute at Brisbane on 22 February 2010

There wasn’t anything that Whitney Houston could not do. The only time she couldn’t do something is when she just didn’t want to like cooking. But Whitney could do things. I’ve seen her roller blade

When Whitney married Bobby Brown, he brought some things out of her. Sometimes they would clown together and have fun. That’s when I noticed Whitney could have been a great dancer. She would clown with Bobby in front of the camera. I have seen them.

Singing and dancing can be a hard combination to do. It takes a lot to both sing and dance. Whitney concentrated  mostly on singing though she did move around on the stage. She didn’t have to worry about dancing singing slow songs. Sometimes dancing wasn’t needed anyway for Whitney.

As I watched Whitney give tribute to Michael Jackson in video clips, I thought, Where did all of that energy come from? When did she start singing and dancing like Michael?  I believe Whitney could have learned to dance. I have seen her try to do the backslide. She knew how it was suppose to be done. Whitney just needed to glide. Dancing is just body movement, and Whitney could move some. She has it in her. I can tell as I watch her in the clips. I can see beyond her can’t do’s and dont’s. Whitney could have been a great dancer.

Whitney Houston: Man in the Mirror (Tribute to MJ)

Whitney Houston: …. When someone gives you five decades of their life to music; to entertaining you nonstop; five decades of his life, you must give him an applause. …

This is Whitney Houston’s opening night of her tour in Moscow, Russia.  She gave tribute to Michael Jackson singing Man in the Mirror. Whitney sounds kind of like Michael singing his song. The crowd loved it. Whitney could throw down when it came to MJ.

Whitney should have been allowed to perform a song with Michael when they were alive. They were both greatly loved and talented. No harm would have been done. A lot of times the music business is just crazy. Michael and Whitney could have worked together on their own in a home studio. People need to learn how to rebel sometimes because nobody is always right. Sometimes you need to test things out and see what might happen or you’ll never know. If the two great stars would have made a flop, it just would have been a flop that’s all. Not the end of their careers. Mike and Whit had nothing to loose. They were already both giant stars.

Watching Whitney give tribute to Michael is proof that she had a whole lot more to give. She wasn’t allowed to go but so far it seemed. She had to sing the kind of songs her producer wanted her to, but Whitney had a lot more within. Nobody tried to bring that part out, but it was there. I can see and recognize it. She had some of Michael’s style.

The Voice The Crown

In the beginning, when I first saw Whitney, to me, she was a spiritual and special person. I do not remember any other singer like her in the days of the 80’s. When I saw her singing gospel with her mom and brother one night on television, I felt like there was some kind of hope for something better in life. Whitney was more than a singer. Whether she knew it or not, she was a leader. Whitney may not have been perfect in her personal life, but she was perfect enough that if she reached out to her fans and told them to stay away from the bad things in life, they probably would have done it because they looked up to her.

Whitney Houston had some affect on me. It made me feel good that she grew up in church. It made me feel good to hear her stories how her mom got on her case, because the same stuff was happening to me. I thought people that grew up the way Whitney did couldn’t get a career in singing blues because of how she served God. Then, I learned that her mom was a singer too, and Whitney was blessed to make it. So I always kept my eyes and ears open some when it came to Whitney. I knew she was going to have some frustrations. I kind of understood who Whitney Houston was when she talked about her mom and her upbringing. For some odd reason, I felt like Whitney was my family. I still do.

When it was pronounced that Whitney passed away, I was in a very close relationship with God. My mom had passed away and then we lost another great singer. We had lost MJ, Aaliyah, Selena and then Whitney. The comforter had come to visit me. They were very important to some of us, and I know they were important to God as well. He told me to keep Whitney in my memory.

Today, I still think of Whitney. She was the queen in singing. I think of her as the voice who wears the crown.

Whitney’s Death Seemed Pretty Ironic

People are still thinking and talking about Whitney Houston. Some people have not quite gotten over her death. Some of us try to go on and have happy thoughts and memories of her. However, there is always something there to remind us that something’s is still not quite right. We know Whitney died, but she was doing alright before she died. We’re asking the question, how is she just going to die so suddenly? Some of us didn’t believe she was gone at first. The media said it was drugs, and that there were marks and bruises on her body. They made it sound like Whitney was in such a big fight, and that she had been drinking and partying. But I don’t quite believe all those things being said. Some say she was murdered and that drug dealers were after her. At first, I thought someone might have murdered her the minute I heard the news interrupt a program to pronounce that she was dead. For some reason, Whitney Houston is gone. The problem is Whitney’s death seemed so ironic. There are many of us that will never know what happened, but we know something was not right with Whitney at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Something went down.

The Postcard

By: Gail Nobles

It was back in the 80’s when I wrote Whitney Houston a letter. I didn’t know anything about her trials and tribulations, but I knew there might be some hard times for her like anyone else in life. So I sat down and wrote Whitney a Christian letter. I really liked her a lot and saw her as a person. I thought, “I don’t know why I’m writing Whitney. I know I probably won’t hear from her. Them Hollywood stars always talking about they busy. All they got to do is slap a stamp on an envelope.” Well lol, that’s the way I thought. That’s the way a teenager should have thought about a celebrity in those days. It was normal though celebrities get lots of fan mail. I didn’t understand.

Well, as time went on, I had forgotten all about the letter I had sent off in the mail to Whitney. I don’t even remember what I wrote to her. I think I remember writing something about Moses and telling her not to give up. The day I was writing her, I do remember having that part on my mind.

One day I came home from school. When I got home, mom was standing in the doorway with a little tiny smile on her face. Just a tiny one. I knew something was up. She was looking at me and wouldn’t take her eyes off of me. Now that I think about it, she saw herself. She knew what she had in herself and knew about what I would do. I asked mom what was wrong.

She said, “You got a surprise in the mail.” Mom handed me a postcard from Whitney’s fanclub. I don’t remember writing to Whitney’s fanclub, but anyway, I got a postcard. Mom asked, “What’s the matter?”

I said, “Mom, Whitney might not have gotten my letter. How do I know she got it? It probably got into the hands of someone else. She didn’t actually answer me. This is fanclub stuff.”

Mom said, “She might have gotten it. At least you got something. You could have got nothing.”

I held the postcard in my hand for a long time examining what was on the card. I put the card aside and right this very day I don’t know what I did with that postcard. I wish I had the mind then like the mind I have now today lol. Like I said, I didn’t understand.

Nafessa Williams Looks More Like Whitney for Biopic

I think Nafessa Williams should play Whitney Houston, but that’s just my opinion. She looks more like Whitney than Robyn Crawford. However, she was chosen to play Robyn.

Whitney Houston Born Free

Quote: “I was born free and I want to always know that I am". ~ Whitney Houston

That’s one of the quotes by Whitney Houston according to what I see written  under some of her photos by the fans. I don’t remember hearing Whitney say those words but whether she did or didn’t, Whitney would often say that quote in so many words.

Whitney said that she wasn’t self-destructive. That she was not a person that wanted to die. That she was a person that had life and wanted to live. And those words always stayed with me. ….

Same Script, Different Cast - Whitney Houston ft. Deborah Cox

Life is full of drama. It makes you wonder how you’re the actor when you start to feel pain. When the tears are real. Tables begin to turn, and we all have a role to play. Same Script, Different Cast by Whitney Houston Featuring Deborah Cox.

In the song, Whitney said it’s a retake of her life, and she tries to warn Deborah that the same thing that he did to her, he was going to do to her too. Yea, it’s like they are all on a stage. It’s like a game that’s played and a movie being made. They come and they go. It’s all one big show, but the ones that hurt puts into it the soul and the mind. Hearts are broken. It’s all there in life, and acted out all at the same time. ..

Whitney Houston - Live in Concert ( Sopot, Poland 1999)

From Youtube

Whitney Houston was live in concert at Sopot, Poland
in 1999. I love how she was dressed in purple and black. I enjoyed all of the songs she had sung. I greatly enjoyed how she performed her song “Heartbreak Hotel” with a little remix of MJ.

Whitney Houston: TNT Jackson

Photos of Jeanne Belle from movie

Whitney could have played many female characters. She had personality. Whitney Houston was heading more for movies in her singing career. Her first movie was the Bodyguard in 1992. It was a box office hit. Whitney always looked like an action film kind of woman to me. I think it would have been exciting to see Whitney in a Kung Fu kind of film. She probably would have had to take some Kung Fu lessons which I believe would have been good to learn because Kung Fu isn’t just about fighting. It teaches self discipline. And maybe Whitney could have done a remake of the TNT Jackson movie starring Jeanne Bell

The film is about Diana Jackson (aka TNT) who learns her brother is missing. She suspects a powerful gangster and his friends are behind the disappearance. Determined to get at the truth, she goes to Hong Kong, and along with a friend named Joe, wages was on the criminal gang she’s out to nail.

In real life, it is said that Whitney Houston knew how to fight. If she had played the role of TNT Jackson, she would have known what it was like to have a brother because she had two. And she would have known something about fighting.

In real life, Whitney Houston knew about business, and she knew how dirty it could be. In the film TNT Jackson, she probably wouldn’t have had any problems acting out some of the parts.

Like TNT, Whitney would let you know what she was about. And sometimes very frank. The character TNT Jackson was angry and went after the smooth talking bad guy that you just heard in the clip.

Whitney Houston knew all about men too. The bad guy in film is actor Stan Shaw playing as Charlie

Whitney would have gotten a lot of exercise if she had played in a Kung Fu film. T and Charlie fought up and down a staircase. There was blood and lots of kicking and rolling on the floor. TNT Jackson is a1974 Blaxploitation.

Well, T fought Charlie and killed him. He fell to the floor and laid still and his vision became blurred. TNT Jackson stood over him starring and that was the end of the movie.

(Singing I Learned From the Best) “ Baby I learned the way to break a heart . I learned from the best. I learned … I learned from you.

If Whitney Houston would have done the remake of TNT Jackson, I’m sure there would have been a more up to date version. Who knows, it might would have been a bigger hit if Whitney had remade the film. On top of that, Whitney was already a star. She was every woman with the big hair do’s and the small ones. I loved her big Afro in her video “I Learned From the Best”. I Learned From the Best is a song that might would have played at the end of a film like TNT Jackson.

Today’s topic: Whitney Houston - No Remake of Get Christy Love. We can only imagine. It was said back in 1997 that Whitney Houston reportedly signed up to star in and co-produce a remake of the 1974 TV movie “Get Christie Love”. It is a crime drama TV series starring Teresa Graves as an undercover female detective which originally aired on ABC from Jan. 22, 1974 until April 5, 1975. ..

Goodbye Vids 🥲

The Movie The Body Guard makes me think of a lot of goodbye songs. But Whitney's song, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU was best for the movie. They all have something in common. That word "Goodbye".

Whitney - I Have Nothing:Happy Heavenly Birthday

Whitney Elizabeth Houston is that everyday occasion. Fans are celebrating and singing her songs.

Singing (Cause I’ll never change all my colours for you).

Something said to me: Keep her in your memory.
Aaah! It’s good to feel heaven. God knows what we have need of, and someday he’ll bring back all who we have lost. That day will come.

Whitney was born Aug. 9th 1963. Let the candle lights burn if you want to and yearly. As you stay in touch with the one above, and know that he’s got her all in his love.

One day Whitney said: I’d like to thank my almighty father in heaven. And my savior Jesus. I could not make it and would not want to make it without him. I’d like to thank all of the fans. All of you.” ___ Whitney Houston

Happy heavenly birthday Whitney. We still have something in our hearts.

Singing (And It’s You).

Rest in peace Whitney.

It's Whitney

You can say what you want to say, but Whitney Houston was a soul sister. They could never get the story right about her. Saint or sinner. Winner or looser. Even though she was the best, they were always putting her to the test. Whitney was different from the rest.

She didn’t want to leave us. She didn’t volenteer. Whintey was called out. It was time to go home. She was peculiar with her talent. Whitney was strong and could stand alone. She didn’t need competition and wasn’t selfish for herself. Although sometimes I think she should have been because of the way she was treated. Whitney needed to live her life. She needed time to herself. Whitney didn’t try to hurt or take from nobody. She seemed to be a giving person regardless of those demons. Whitney had love. It was just the Prince of power of the air always meddling in our lives. Doing his job.

You know Whitney had a throne. She was the queen, and that old devil was always trying to knock her off. He didn’t want nobody to rule or do nothing because he wants to be the ruler of all. But that’s not what was intended to be. Whitney was born with a purpose. We all are. I don’t know where Whitney is, but if she’s in heaven, she made great headlines up there.

Life is not easy. Whitney was maturing. She had to grow. She was learning things that those tabliod writers didn’t know. The good book or else they wouldn’t have written some of the things that they wrote. We reap what we sow. But all can be forgiven. Whitney kept living until it was time to go. …..

Reporter asked Whitney Houston About Her Funeral and Song She’d Like

I’ve been looking for this video and someone finally posted it. This proves that there ought to be more investigation about Whitney’s death even though nothing might not have been wrong. A reporter wanted to know what song would she like played at her funeral. Why would he ask that question? It was asked after the 1994 AMA (American Music Awards).

It was 1979 when I heard Michael Walden’s song, “Tonight I’m Alright”. I didn’t know back then that Michael Walden was Michael Walden. He workded with Whitney Houston. Michael Walden has been a hit record producer, songwriter, artist, and drummer. He produced a great hit for Whitey Houston. Michael wrote, “How Will I Know”. He also worked and wrote for other artists. Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Tevin Campbell, and Stacy Lattisaw just to name a few. ....

God Gave Me A Voice - Words of Whitney Houston

Oprah Winfrey's Interview With Whitney - I Still Listen

YouTube

It's hard to let go wondering what really happened to Whitney Houston. I felt like something was going to happen to Whitney, but I wasn't expecting death. I felt it strong in 2001 after loosing my mom. Then the R&B singer Aaliyah died that year. After that, I kind of lost interest in music some, and I didn't keep up with the news much.

Around 2010 or 2011, I searched to see if Whitney was on social media. I found a Twitter account that really might have been Whitney. With doubt, I wanted to write her. Superstars get busy, and they don't write back no how, I thought. I wasn't quite sure if it was Whitney. By the time I made up my mind to write, Whitney was gone with the Lord. The truth is, I cared about Whitney Houston as a human being. I still care.

Today I still watch Oprah Winfrey's interview with Whitney. I'm still listening to the interview. Whitney was a church person, and she knew she had something to do. She just wasn't sure what and was not guided like many of us. Some of us don't even know that we are being called by God.  I think Whitney still helped a lot of people just by singing and God allowed it. Whitney showed us the true way of music altogether. She was a decent singer singing decent songs. Whitney sang both gospel and R&B. She was old fashioned. I don't think God was upset with her music and songs about love, but I'm sure he wasn't pleased with the things that was going on in her life. The Bible said that God's people are peculiar people (1 Peter 2:9).

I believe Whitney was a good person, and if she truly had a heart for God, he saw that. He looks at the heart (1 Sam. 16:7). There are things about Whitney we cannot see and that we do not know. But the Lord knows, and he understands. There were things that bothered Whitney, and she probably didn't even know why some things happened in her life. Some things may not have been her fault. I think she understood better as she got older. The Bible said we would have tribulations (St. John 16:33).

Cissy Houston - Your Song Topic

Wikipedia.org

Hello! Today I’m going to talk about Whitney Houston’s mom on the Whitney Soul Podcast. Ms. Cissy Houston you know was the mom of Whitney Houston. She taught Whitney how to sing. Sounds like Ms. Houston took some time out for Whitney and taught her how to do a good thing.

Whitney Houston’s mom was also a singer. There is one song I heard her mom sing on record the other day that put tears in my eyes. It was Elton John’s “Your Song”. You might be more familiar with the way Elton John sings it.

It's a little bit funny
This feeling inside
I'm not one of those who can easily hide
I don't have much money, but boy if I did
I'd buy a big house where we both could live ...

I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind
That I put down in the words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world

But , you know Ms. Houston had her way of singing it. She had a church style way of singing it. I can’t sing it the way Ms. Houston sings it, and I can’t play it the way the musicians play it, but it goes something like this to give you an idea.

(Singing)

That’s just an example without playing and singing note for note the way Ms. Houston did. Later on in the song, the choir would come in and back Ms. Houston up.

(Singing)

Ms. Emily "Cissy” Houston is a great American soul and gospel singer. After a successful career singing backup for such artists as Roy Hamilton, Dionne Warwick, Elvis Presley and Aretha Franklin, Ms. Houston embarked on a solo career, winning two Grammy Awards for her work. Ms. Houston is the mother of singer Whitney Houston, grandmother of Bobbi Kristina Brown, aunt of singers Dionne and Dee Dee Warwick.

Whitney Houston - It Was In God's Plan

God knows best. Yes, it was in God's plan. It was in God's plan. Whitney Houston asked her music director Rickey Minor about changing the National Anthem in a way that words could linger. Whitney performed the National Anthem like no one else did before. I believe that God was with her there. It was God that gave Whitney Houston her great singing talent.

Rickey Minor the director, Clive Davis the producer, Whitney Houston the singer, and God is so much more. When the crowd booed Whitney Houston at the Soul Train Awards, I knew that she was God's child. I asked God about it, and he said, "She was a wealthy woman."

Wealth can mean a lot of things in the Lord. Everything we have is a gift from God. Whitney had money, but she also had gifts and talents and maybe some hidden abilities too. Maybe she had things she didn't know she had. Maybe she could do some things she didn't know she could do.

Although Whitney Houston had trials, I'm glad that she knew the Lord, and that she was seeking him. It's not easy in the spotlight of the world.

Whitney had fame and fortune, but all the glory and the honor and the praise belongs to God. We can't out live him, and we can't live without him.

Whitney said before she left us, "I'm gonna go see Jesus."

Transcript: Coming up next, Today's Topic: Whitney Houston - The Boss

Do you remember the Classic Whitney concert from 1997 when Whitney Houston gave tribute to Diana Ross? I bet Mrs. Ross the Boss was proud of Whitney. ... (Singing) Y'all remember the song. Whitney was singing it. She said .....

Something like that. Whitney Houston had a whole band. I can't play all those instruments. Not today. But you get the idea. Yea, Whitney was rockin' and jammin' in Washington D.C. That's a concert I'll never forget. Whit had soul, and you could tell by how she was movin' the crowd. You could tell by how her band was playing. You could tell by how her backup singers were singing. They were all moving and into it. And Whitney knew what she had when she had Rickey Minor behind her or should I say Pretty Ricky?

And like Diana Ross, Whitney Houston was the boss. She was in charge holding that microphone. She was the leader who influenced and inspired others like Monica and Brandy. As a matter of fact, they were at her concert. .... (singing)

2nd Night of Classic Whitney Concert

I love the 2nd night of Classic Whitney. She was in harmony with her friends out in the audience and her fans. Watching it makes me feel as if I'm there, though I know Whitney is gone.
