Sometimes it’s hard for me to write about Whitney, and I don’t know why. It’s not because I don’t want to write about her and that’s for sure. Sometimes I still can hear her voice inside my conscious saying something like these words: “You be yourself.” It’s like she’s not really gone. Sometimes her voice is encouragement. It’s like she’s around and knowing what’s going on with me. When I was heavily writing about her, sometimes her spirit didn’t want me to. Maybe she thought I was grieving, and I was sometimes whenever I thought of her. Her performance and hearing her sing never grows old with me. She’s forever young. I sometimes feel as if I didn’t lose her. I felt as though I had nothing when she was gone.

Ashanti Sings Whitney Houston’s song ‘I Have Nothing.’ In her own voice I think she did a good job. She used her own voice range.  Of course, no one can do it like Whitney. If we had never heard Whitney sing this song, critics wouldn’t know what to look for and that’s Whitney. 😊

Seeing Whitney Houston perform “I Have Nothing” at the Billboard Music awards 1998 is one of my favorite performances by Whitney. I love her hair and red dress. She looked really great that night, and her voice was in very good shape.

Whitney Houston sung a song titled, "I Have Nothing". It's the words, I have nothing, that made me listen to her song. When she sings the words, if I don't have you, it makes me think about how sad life is when we loose someone close to us.

The music world is sad without Whitney Houston. I don't care about the music. To have her here would be enough for me. If Whitney could be here and be happy, that would make me happy again. Tonight I think of her in my art and spare time.
