Whitney Houston Acapella

I like to hear Whitney Houston sing acapella, "I'm Every Woman". I like the studio sound with her voice. Whitney had an awesome group of background singers always.

Listening to some of the lyrics in, "I'm Every Woman", I get kind of tickled at Whitney. She sings: I ain't braggin'
Cause I'm the one.
Just ask meeeee.
oo, It shall be done.

Well, to me, Whitney was singing about herself when she sung this song. She said she ain't braggin', but in the song, she is yall. And if you did ask her for a favor, it is said by her friends that she would help you. This song is Whitney. That's probably why she could sing it so well. When Whitney was alive, I got a kick out of seeing Whitney's Hollywood ways because she was the one. The Hollywood Whitney was the only Whitney I knew. I wish I could have known her as a person.

She sings: Put fire inside of you.
Anytime you feel danger or fear,
Then instantly
I will appear 'cause.

That verse makes me think about when she played the godmother in Cinderella with Brandy. I wish Whitney could appear to her fans. I want to see her one more time. I never got a chance to meet her. I miss Whitney. I believe she was my kind of person that I would have loved to have as an older sister.

Whitney Was Truly Every Woman

Whitney sung, "I'm Every Woman". The song spoke for itself in order to find the meaning of the song. People could see as they looked at the modeling or fashion Whitney that she was every woman. You could see her many faces and changes. Women could see themselves in Whitney. If Whitney had a bad hair day, it was cool. She was being herself, and it probably made other women feel better about themselves. Whitney could relate to all women. When we looked at her, some of us said, "I dig." You know why? Cause Whitney is and was every woman. She was a very beautiful woman.

Whitney's Remake "I'm Every Woman"

From Video "I'm Every Woman" Whitney Houston
The first time that I heard Whitney Houston's remake of I'm Every Woman by Chaka Khan, I did not know that it was Whitney singing it. It sounded just like the original. For a while, I did not pay any attention.

One day I was sitting in my room and it was playing on the radio. My mother came into my room and heard it playing. She asked, "Who that?"

I said, "Mama, they playing that song like it's new. I have been hearing it a lot, and I know Chaka Khan sung it. I remember hearing that song from a little girl unless it made a hit all over again."

Me and my mother continued to listen. When the song got near the end, I heard Whitney's voice saying, Chaka Khan. I said, "Wait! That sounds like Whitney Houston."

My mother said, "Hmm! I believe it is."

When we heard Whitney's laugh, I knew for sure then that it was Whitney. I love to hear Whitney's laugh. It is like a little trademark sound of her to me.
