Whitney Gangster? Dionne Feared?

From the very start of her rise to stardom, I always thought of Whitney as someone who showed real elegance. God blessed her with incredible beauty and immense talent. HE didn’t do it for nothing. I don’t think Whitney ever aimed to adopt a tough persona, but I can understand why she felt the need to assert herself so that others wouldn't perceive her as weak.

Suge Knight said that Whitney was ghetto, gangster, and wild. Now that I am learning about all the bad things going on in the music business, I suppose she had to get tough. I do not believe Whitney was really the kind of person Suge Knight said she was deep down. It might have been drugs that changed her. But we also know that not everything was Whitney’s fault, and I do not believe she had bad intentions.

I wasn't present during Whitney's time, so I'm not familiar with what she experienced. However, now that I'm aware of the negative aspects of the music industry, I can understand how those issues may have impacted Whitney and her career.

Dionne Warrick

Now there’s a video saying that Dionne Warrick was the most feared thug of her time. Why would somebody like Snoop Dog or any other rapper fear Dionne Warrick so much? If she is so feared, why is the music business so bad and so messed up? I wish there was someone like Dionne Warrick to stand up against drugs and pedophiles and sex traffickers in the music business. The things that we need to stand up against, we don’t. Everybody runs away to hide, and it’s very sad.

A Wish for Unity-Whitney Houston

Let’s swing into the heart and soul of Whitney Houston’s “One Wish (for Christmas),” where the Queen of Heart and Soul herself lifts us up with a beautiful message that’s all about love, unity, and hope. You see, when Whitney sings, “If I had one wish for Christmas, there would be joy and peace here on earth,” she’s not just belting out sweet notes; she’s channeling a universal longing we all share…..

Whitney Told Us Things Through Her Career Life

Whitney told us about the demons she had to fight. We fight them too all the time. We’ve got to get right with God. We have got to wake up. I’m happy to know that Whitney did realize that. I Don’t know if Whitney knew she was making a difference singing those gospel songs on stage. I believe she did touch lives, but there was something about her own life. Maybe singing the gospel was helping her though she was fighting demons. Celebrities in Hollywood don’t seem to have time for much. Whitney had church.

Whitney told us things through her career life. We need to get our lives together for the LORD. The White House is also speaking. We see things that are not right. Check out the video message below. They ain’t sending out messages for nothing.

Whitney’s Empowerment and Self Identity

Written by: Gail Nobles 12/21/24

Sometimes Whitney had some really powerful performances that really caught my eye. She would lay down a whole new vibe to a song. I'll never forget her live performance - "I Believe In You And Me". She sang like she was the boss in her beautiful hairdo and red dress. Whitney was laying down a whole new vibe digging deep into the themes of empowerment and self identity. You can almost feel her strutting through the lyrics with a fierce determination.

Whitney Houston’s Family Resemblance

Some people are saying that actress Teressa Graves is Whitney Houston’s real mom. Some say it’s not true and that the rumor came from someone in the music business. If Teresa Graves is not Whitney’s mom, she might still be kin to Whitney in some way. You just never know who you might be kin to.

Shucks, Whitney looks a lot like one of my mom’s sisters, and sometimes she favored one of my dad’s sisters lol. So if Whitney is any kin to me, she might be kin on both sides of my family. When my mom use to look at Whitney, she use to shake her head and say: You just never know lol.

Take a look at Whitney’s family resemblance.

Whitney Houston: This Is My Life

It's always nice to see something about Whitney Houston when you can here about her music career straight from her, and see some of her performances. Here is the TV special 'Whitney Houston: This is My Life.'

Understanding Why Whitney Was Booed

It worried my mother a little that Whitney Houston got booed in 1988. She had strong spiritual decernment that something was dreadfully wrong that people were booing Whitney Houston. But Whitney kept moving on in her career.

I found it mighty strange that Rev. Al Sharpton was calling Whitney Whitey. It just didn’t look like the kind of thing he would do as a leader. Then I was seeing all the praise Mary J. Blige was getting. Whitney wasn’t black enough. I’ll never forget it.

Now I see P Diddy. He was producing Mary J. Blige. Back then,  I found it odd that a rapper like Diddy who couldn’t sing could produce the way he did knowing nothing about how to sing. But Berry Gordy and Quincy Jones weren’t singers either. They all managed to produce and could tell a singer how to do recording them. They knew what could sell and how a singer should sing and perform.

The world wanted hip hop. The world wanted Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul. It was hard for Whitney to understand. I think someone in the music industry knew how to reach the young crowd that didn’t have the old school knowledge that Whitney had or our parents. Even Whitney wanted to sing other styles of music. I noticed that she could throw down on Michael Jackson’s songs. I heard Whitney try Opera and she was very good. She knew that she could be a mega star just like Michael Jackson. But it seemed to be about what everyone else wanted for her, and they should have let Whitney do a little bit of it all because she could. She was the voice. Why do they not want a person to do it all? I’ve seen some of that very thing in my life where they didn’t want me to do all that I knew how to do.

It seemed to me, the music industry didn’t want too many people being mega stars. I don’t think it was because the people couldn’t go any further with their talent. Something in the world is always putting a limit on something. Now they are telling us it’s not about talent. Well, it’s not about something good if that’s the case because God gave us talent. That is from high above. Do you see the dragon? What is it about the most talented people that they have to get sick and die or be killed. Shouldn’t they be investigating the music business itself along with individuals they are finding guilty of crimes? Too many of our stars have died the same way. Fans are not happy.

I understand a little bit more why the world was booing Whitney. I’m wondering if the crowd was being paid to boo. There are some very powerful people over talent. Even shows like Star Search sometimes wouldn’t choose the best. ⁉️❓I understand that things aren’t right.

Shanice Wilson Sings “I Will Always Live You”

Shanice Wilson sings Whitney’s “I Will Always Love You.” She sings it so well that I can almost hear Whitney. Shanice sings it her own way, but still, I hear some of Whitney.

Shanice Wilson Sings “I Have Nothing”

Shanice Wilson is so very talented. She should have been singing on stage sometimes with Whitney when she was alive. Their voices would have blended well together. Shanice should have been the one to sing “I Will Always Love You” giving tribute to Whitney like Jennifer Hudson did. In this video she sings “I Have Nothing” beautifully.

Shanice Wilson Singing “Run To You”

Shanice Wilson is just a natural at singing Whitney Houston’s songs. She sings them as if the songs were made for herself. Shanice is a natural born singer just like Whitney. In this video she sings “Run To You.”

Whitney Houston - You Give Good Love

Even with some music missing, and not much seemed to be needed, Whitney makes you love her ‘You Give Good Love’ song even more. She puts you in an even more relaxed mood. It’s what they call grown folks music or music for adults. It’s what I call a soulful and beautiful ballad. The song puts you in the mood for love. Some people in her audience knew what she was singing about because some people actually lived her song.
