Stephanie Mills Remembers The Late Great Whitney Houston

From YouTube
Stephanie Mills said that she never really became Whitney's friend but she misses her. A lot of us do. Sometimes it's hard not to be sad thinking of her, and sometimes it's not so bad when you have happy thoughts.

Whitney Houston _ When You Are Tired and Not Inspired

It's hard to write anymore about Whitney Houston. All I hear is sad stories about her daughter whether they are true or not. It's nothing but negative things. Sometimes I just don't feel inspired to write. I see grief in the lives of celebrities, and there is some grief in my own life. People are constantly tearing one another apart instead of coming together. People are constantly bringing up Whitney's name. Sometimes it's for publicity and sometimes it may even be because of guilt. I believe Whitney is resting, and my spirit and mind is resting when it comes to her name. No, I will not let the memories of her go. I'm just sick of all the negative things. It's like loosing an appetite. I believe Whitney was tired herself. If she's in heaven, she don't have to worry about the mess she left down here on this earth like we do. That means she made it if she's in heaven, and we still have a ways to go to get there. The war is over for her, and we still have to battle.

Whitney Never Represented Evil

When I look at some of the female singers today that looked up to Whitney, I don't think they paid attention to Whitney Houston enough. Whitney never represented anything evil, and she never did some of the things that girls do with their bodies today on the stage. What she may have done in her personal life may not have always been right, but Whitney did try to give us a great image of something good. Whenever she sung a song, it was about love. Whitney never sung garbage or used profanity in her music. Thank you Whitney Houston.

Hearing Whitney Spiritually

As I get a message in my email from my Whitney Twitter account, I can hear Whitney spiritually saying, "Don't you forget me now." I answer her back in my mind saying, "I won't forget you." Life is strange. There are some things I can't help, and there are some things I can't explain. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has a sixth sense about things. It is because of God because we don't give power to ourselves. As I remember Whitney, I remember God and all of the good people that have left us. All of the good that is in him are family whether they are dead or alive.

1 Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

Whitney Houston in Comedy

Whitney Houston appeared in a funny comedy sketch on SNL in 1996, alongside Will Farrel, Penny Marshall and Rosie O'Donnel. Whitney was natural for comedy because she made comedy around those that loved her in real life. Whitney could make people laugh and appeared to be a fun person.

Cissy Houston: Whitney Couldn't Lip - Synch

Google Image
It never appeared to me that Whitney lip - synch singing the Star Spangled Banner. In chapter 10 of Cissy's book, Remembering Whitney, Cissy said that Whitney was like her. She couldn't lip - synch. Whitney couldn't keep time with a song unless she was really singing it, and at the Super Bowl, you could tell looking at her that she was singing the whole time. I believe Whitney's mom. It certainly did look as if Whitney was singing the whole time to me.

Cissy: When she hit that final note, and then the jets flew overhead, I can't imagine there was a dry eye in that stadium.
