Most songs on Whitney’s album were played except two or three I don’t remember. You’re Still My Man was played, and I think it should have been played more. I don’t recall Whitney performing “You’re Still My Man” whenever she appeared on television. She could have in concerts, but I have never been to any of her concerts. 

 You’re Still My Man is an uplifting song for a man missing a woman that he’s apart from. From a woman that he knows still loves him, and the song is good for the woman too if she feels like the lyrics said.

And when she performed, all she had to do was walk up and down the stage, and the audience was still moved by her singing, but not only that, she moved up the stairway and down the stairs 🎶. And every time she went up the stairs, she knew she had to pray. She was in the spotlight of the world. And while Whitney was on top, the people wanted to boo. The craziest thing. So there were times when she came down the stairs wanting a break and to get away from the stage. When Whitney Houston Called Bobby Brown the Original R&B King

 

They thought it was ridiculous when Whitney Houston called her husband the original R&B King. They thought Whitney had bumped her head, Well, maybe he was to her, and she knew what Bobby could do. She lived with him, and she knew about singing. When it comes to music, there are many kings and queens in their own way. In my opinion, Bobby Brown was the Hip Hop R&B King at the time if not R&B King. 

Whitney knew Bobby more than any critic, and I don’t think she was really wrong about Bobby. She knew what he had in him. After all, Bobby was her husband. I don’t know if he ever sang songs to her when they were alone. I’m sure Whitney knew some things about Bobby the critics didn’t know. Whitney had been around voices and talent all of her life. She also had good sense when she wanted to have it. Maybe sometimes they saw her acting a little crazy, but Whitney had sense.

When Whitney called Bobby Brown the original R&B king, maybe she saw that he could be. Maybe she could see that he had that in him when nobody else could. She might have been a little right about it considering how well he sang Ain’t No Sunshine on the show Masked Singer. Bobby sang like he never sang before. He sang from his heart and soul. He sang with feeling.

Whitney Houston Called Him the Original R&B King

The instant I heard Bobby Brown sing the first words of Ain’t No Sunshine, I knew it was the song for him and his voice. He really sang from the heart. Out of all the years I’ve heard him sing, hearing him sing Ain’t No Sunshine really made me listen to him the most. Bill Withers sang it well, but there was just something about Bobby’s voice that made the song  sound so touching. It all goes back to what Whitney Houston said. She called Bobby the original R&B King. She was married to him and knew him. There was nothing wrong and nothing weird about what Whitney said.

 There is an unreleased song titled, Giving Up by Aaliyah. It is a song that was intended for Sparkle. It is a cover that Aaliyah created of the Donny Hathaway song, “Giving Up”. When you hear the song, you will hear that Aaliyah really had a great and natural voice. She didn’t have to shout to prove it.

Whitney Houston wanted Aaliyah for the movie Sparkle. She probably heard Aaliyah sing I’m sure, and probably saw her act in movies. Whitney knew that Aaliyah had talent. She knew that she would be the right person for Sparkle.
