University Marching Bands Play Tribute to Whitney Houston

Photo by: Curioso Photography from Pexels

Great university marching bands have played tribute to Whitney Houston. NC A&T Jackson State University Southern University just to name a few are the marching bands that have played Whitney Houston's music. What does that tell ya huh? Whitney Houston is loved.

Marching bands have played "I Love The Lord", "I Wanna Dance With Somebody", "Saving All My Love for You", and other songs by Whitney Houston.

The bands have marched giving tribute to her. Their footsteps are like music in silence or should I say rest? We hear a group of musicians that do march, but we hear the instruments of brass, horns, & trumpets, & percussion. We can hear the sound of Whitney Houston. Just listen. (music)

Whitney Houston Communicated To Let Us Know Something Was Wrong

YouTube

Whitney Houston knew when she was on camera. She communicated in interviews like with Diane Sawyer and in a documentary like "Can I Be Me".  Whitney had her reasons for saying the things she said the way she said them. She allowed us to see her in tears, see her tired, or see her stressed out. People only heard the word drugs from the media, but ignored the fact that she could have just been depressed as well. Something or somebody was bothering Whitney. You could see it in her expressions off and on in her career. What was bothering her might not have all been marriage problems. Could it have been something worse or someone else?

Whitney showed us on stage and in interviews that she loved her daughter and her husband too. We know that she loved the gospel and came from the church. Whitney carried the church to Hollywood. That made Whitney Houston very special. Sometimes it seemed as if she wasn't getting any credit because of the way she was treated. Why was she treated the way she was treated? Reverend Al Sharpton called Whitney Whitey. Why didn't he get her alone and talk with her like a reverend should have? People were saying that she wasn't black enough in music, but we all know that wasn't true. Why did they call her THE VOICE? Because she was great. For some reason, Whitney had to go through some ridiculous things. They booed her on the Soul Train Awards in the 80's. I remember that night and my mom saying, "Something is wrong for them to be booing Whitney Houston like that ..."

Did Whitney Houston know that she might some day die at an early age in her career? My mom who passed away paid close attention to her lyrics "Your Love Is My Love". She didn't understand why Whitney was singing a song like that. I'm thinking that Whitney might have been talking about herself and her daughter.

Whitney Houston communicated enough to let us know something was wrong in her career. I believe she wanted us to know that something was not right. I believe that her death should be investigated and her daughter's death some more. Nobody is satisfied with the story of how she died. Whitney Houston and her daughter had a strange death and they both were found dead in a bathtub.

There Will Never Be Another Whitney

W-H-I-T! Whit! Whitney Houston! There will never be another Whitney. There is only one Whitney Houston. It is said that a Hollywood star is worth more dead than alive. That should tell you right there that in Hollywood, you’re nothing but a product. But oh, Whitney was more than that to a lot of fans. If she could come back from the dead, we would see just how much she’s worth. She wouldn’t have to sing not one song.

Hollywood is so pitiful without Whitney to the point they had to make a fake Whitney. The hologram they made of her didn’t look much like her. There were some fans disappointed. With the technology we have today, I know that it could have been done better. In a hurry. All about entertainment and money.

Guess what, Clive Davis is doing a movie about Whitney Houston. Guess who they chose to play as Whitney? Naomi Ackie. That’s what I’ve read in the news so far. And she doesn’t look like Whitney Houston at all. I know the choice could have been better. Why not choose somebody that looks a lot like Whitney and someone new. Someone that has been through struggles in life like Whitney Houston that can act it out better than an actress.

Now, When I said that there won’t be another Whitney Houston, I did not mean that no one couldn’t imitate her. There are some tribute artists that can sing like Whitney and probably could play as her in a movie. There is a lot of singing and acting talent out there. It would be great to have a singer and actress to remind us of Whitney. However, God made only one Whitney Houston.

One Wish For Christmas By Whitney Houston

Youtube

One Wish For Christmas is a beautiful song by Whitney Houston. I don't have a whole lot of words to write. There is one thing I wish,  but it won't happen. It would take a miracle and prayers day and night. Some fasting too. Enjoy the video and have a Merry Christmas.

Whitney Houston - Broken Hearts, There's An Answer

Wikipedia.org

Broken hearts, there's an answer. Many times I have heard Whitney Houston sing, "Where Do Broken Hearts Go". They interrupted the program on television to say Whitney was gone. The good book said we'll rise again. And the question in Whitney's song came straight back around to me. Where do broken hearts go? She said goodbye with a broken heart, and I was left with one.

I guess Whitney couldn't stay any longer. The 14th chapter of Rev. said, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord...." So it's not goodbye... Well Whitney, I'll be seeing you on the other side. ....

Something Weird about the Grammys 2012

When Whitney Houston died, a lot of us were confused about the Grammy's and Whitney. Everything was happening so fast. When the stars arrived at the Grammy Awards, to me, they really didn't seem surprised or hurt about Whitney at all. I'm not sure if some of the stars really even knew how to comment. Whitney is just gone all over a sudden. Then I hear someone talking about a Clive Davis party. And I thought, "What party? When? Where?"

Not only that, but Whitney's death and the news about how she died didn't sound like Whitney. There was no investigation on murder at all. It made me feel like Whitney said NO to something and somebody got mad. For some reason, Whitney had to die, and I don't believe it was in God's plan. I don't believe she died from drugs. If it had been my child, Hollywood would have been on lock down. I believe they lied about Whitney's death. The media can tell you anything. Hollywood can cover up and try to make things sound good. There is no shame. Yes people die, but why lie? Why not the straight truth? Fans are hurt. Whitney was a human being with feelings and so are her fans.

I love Whitney, and if she were here and couldn't sing any more, I would have accepted the fact. If she had sickness or pain, I would have accepted the fact, and prayed constantly for a miracle to God. All I wanted was Whitney to live and be here.

I think Whitney would have been a lot happier without Hollywood. If Whitney felt like singing, she could have made some recordings in her home and added them to iTunes. She was famous enough that people would have listened. Everything is done online today. I believe Whitney had learned a lot in the music business enough to know about what to do. She didn't need all that Hollywood pressure. There is pressure a lot more when you can make the millions. People love their money and want you in the spotlight. They drain you dry.

Well, Whitney is resting now. She should still be here. There are many in the grave that should have been living today. God is not happy. He sits up high and looks down below. Believe me when I tell you it is not over.

Whitney Houston - Speaking for Self

Usage: CC BY-SA 2.0
https://flic.kr/p/4xmi7k

Today's topic is Whitney Houston - Speaking for Self.  We don't see the whole aspect of a person's life in Hollywood. But we know that with Whitney Houston, things were good and not so good. There are gaps sometimes in between. Though she was a mega-star. Though she was a queen.

This was a woman they say shared an isolation with Michael Jackson. They would visit each other and sit in silence.

Whitney was asked how she wanted to be remembered. She said, " They are going to remember me how they want to remember me anyway. They are going to write books. They are going to write this, and they are going to write that, and everybody is going to have their own idea."

(singing)
Each individual has got to live so they will know. Not telling what you heard. You can't express the spoken words. .....

There is a Calling

Not a day goes by that I don't think of Whitney Houston. I always wanted to talk to her. I understood her and how she loved the Lord. Whenever I would watch her on TV, I kind of saw myself. It kind of made me understand why God didn't allow me to do certain things. Whitney was strong, and I don't think I would have been quite as strong in the entertainment world. I believe it was meant for Whitney to sing. I think God allowed Whitney to go the route she went so that she could see that nobody loves you like Jesus.

Wikimedia Commons

Whitney inspired me, but God also inspires me. Sometimes I feel that it is him that moves me because when I sit back and listen to myself and my thoughts, I can't believe it is all me. I was inspired to write this song.

Whitney Houston - Wanna Be Startin Somethin

Wikipedia

Do you remember when Whitney Houston sung live at MJ 30th Anniversary Celebration.? It was the year of 2001, and now when I look back at the video, Whitney was singing Michael's song as if it had been made for her to sing. "If you can't feed your baby, then don't have a baby". She was sining Michael Jackson's "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" with the same attitude and expression in her voice. ....

Whitney The Leo Icon (Watchulookinat)

Throughout Whitney's career, there has always been questions. Whitney Houston was like the wind. Sometimes she laid low. Sometimes she came out like a lion crouching and preparing to make a new stand. And when Whitney Houston did make a move, all eyes were on her. Even in her last days. And suddenly, she was gone.

Whitney Houston tried to tell us who she was when she was here and what she was about. Listen

Whitney Actor: You should have been around. I've been criticized about my singing. When I did the Star Spangled Banner, they questioned was that really me singing. I'd like to get married and have some kids. I don't have to have an album out. They just talk about me. I can do a gospel album. Something I've always wanted to do. I'm definitely gonna make that my next priority. It's finished."

Those were quotes of Whitney Houston from the interview of Ed Gordon in 1993. From what I gather, Whitney Houston was tired of the media criticism. She mentioned in her song, "Watchulookinat" from 2002 that she tried to show the world what she did. She mentioned how they tried to dirty up her name, how they were messing with her reputation and concentration. She said, "I feel eyes on me. You been telling lies on me."

But Whitney Houston has many fans. They know what she has done, and they know what she's about. I say that she's a Leo Icon. Whitney had a very successful career. If you listen to the media, you won't really know the truth about Whitney and who she really was and is.

Whitney Houston (Nippy and The Lion)

Illus. By: Gail Nobles
What would Whitney Houston say about our world if she was alive today? She is known as the voice, and I think she would have a lot to say. Whitney is known for singing, but I bet she had some speeches in her too straight from the heart. Speeches about justice and equality.

Whitney was from New Jersey and traveled to sing from state to state and to different countries and all over the world. I can imagine that she has seen a lot, and she probably knew a lot about people. I always imagined her going as far as the White House.

Whitney Houston's sign is Leo and Leo's are intelligent. I named the art above Nippy and The Lion and really they are one.

Whitney Houston was a Leo Icon

By Gail Nobles Copyright © 2020
Whitney Houston was a Leo Icon. She was successful with a powerful nature. Whitney was truly show business with talent, and her sign is about these things for August 9th. From my understanding, there are degrees of Leo.

Being a Leo, sometimes I have to wonder if that is why the lion was chosen as the logo for Whitney's company Nippy Inc. Well, a great choice was made because Whitney Houston was truly a lion.

You Thought It Couldn't Be Done? Whitney Houston Danced

YouTube
People said all sorts of things about Whitney Houston. She was made fun of on television from shows like In Living Color. I never really liked that show. I was in high school when I saw that show, and I thought it was stupid. There was one or maybe two episodes that made me laugh. Luckily, I never saw the episode called Whitney Houston - Rhythmless Dance. I never saw it until after Whitney's death, and when a famous person dies, everything that was ever done or said is talked about and seen.  I guess the comedy was trying to say Whitney had no rhythm, but that's not true.

At one time, I didn't think Whitney Houston was interested in dancing, whenever she performed; when she first appeared in the singing business. I never thought that she couldn't dance because I knew she could learn if she couldn't. There was just something about Whitney that made you know deep down inside that she could do anything. When she said she could do anything singing her song, I'm Your Baby Tonight, you could hear the soulfulness in her voice that she meant it and believed it. When she sung, I'm Every Woman, she sung that song as if it really pertained to her.

The night that Whitney performed, I'm Your Baby Tonight on Arsenio Hall, Whitney Houston danced.  She told us in her song, I Wanna Dance With Somebody. Those songs were all about Whitney. She must have loved dancing and gave it a shot. It looked kind of tough dancing and singing all at the same time, but Whitney came out dancing. She was not that Rhythmless dancer that they said that she was.

Things I Noticed About Whitney

YouTube
When I first saw Whitney Houston, she was very intelligent sounding. She spoke kind of proper. Whitney did not seem like a young woman from what they call the hood. She wanted to be something in life, and she had the right mentality as an African American woman.. I think some people were jealous and afraid of that. Even her own race. I can't get over Al Sharpton calling her Whitey.

Whitney did not have to prove nothing to nobody about herself. She was a bold lady. All she had to do was just be herself, and she needed to be a happy self with some freedom. Not the person of Hollywood. Whitney had greatness with an invisible crown on her head. I don't believe she knew she had that crown, but the people that booed her at The Soul Train Awards knew. How are we going to boo somebody we made the queen? It looks and sounds like an ignorant Hollywood music business thing to me. It is said they lift you up to bring you down. Like the world is messed up, Hollywood is messed up. People need to stand up. They don't have to take the confusion and evil. God would not want us to.

When it comes to Whitney Houston, the media loves to mention drugs. Why weren't they seeing and mentioning her depression and the times that she was tired? She certainly did look depressed and tired sometimes. Sometimes you could tell when she wasn't so cheerful. I believe it was what other people were doing too that made her sad. Sometimes it's those things we don't see. But I know that God sees, and he's not happy.

Whitney Houston - God Will Take Care of You

Here is a rare footage from Quencie Thomas.

The Symbolism of Nippy

Whitney Houston whose nick name is Nippy died a Hollywood star. It bothered some people that they had seen an Egyptian statue after her death at the private family viewing online. Don't let that bother you because that is not what Nippy was about. Nippy belonged to The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark New Jersey. She sung in the choir there and Whitney's mother Cissy Houston is also a lifelong active member of the congregation, and serves on the Deaconess Board. Whitney Houston (Nippy) never stopped visiting churches when she was alive and would sing. I've seen a rare footage of Whitney singing at Bishop Dr. Fred Jerkin's Evangelical Fellowship Church in Pleasantville, NJ in 1998. I'm sure Hollywood has it's own ideas away from church.

The Symbolism

Nippy has been known to help some people in Hollywood. She sounded like someone who would protect you and help you if she could. In the art above, I made Nippy a warrior with a weapon because I knew she was battling in spiritual warfare.

Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
Ephesians 6:11 - Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

If Nippy had not been a Christian, we might not would have ever noticed her spiritual warfare. She was in a real battle. If you have been reading your Bible, you know the story of Job and Satan. You know how Peter denied Jesus (Luke 22:31-32). You know about Paul and how a thorn was given to him in the flesh (2 Corinthians 12:7). I believe the Shepard boy known as King David was in the battle too.

The Mummy  on the shoulder of Nippy means nothing but death. Sometimes men think they have murdered and buried the dead, but some men are not dead in Christ. They will have new bodies anyway. So why preserved the body like the Egyptians do? In the art, you see Nippy alive, and she wears the mummy to open the minds of men to make them think about what death and life really are.

Thessalonians 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

Matt. 10:28
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

In the first bottom fold of Nippy's headband and helmet is written her nick name Nippy. The helmet represents rank. If Nippy (Whitney Houston) gets to heaven, she'll have a new name.

Rev. 2:17
He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows saving he that receives it.

I Love Nippy (Whitney Houston)

I've always pictured Whitney Houston in movies as Nippy. I believed she would have been an awesome character as the bad girl. It would have been good to see her start in the beginning of a movie as the good girl and end with good reason to be the bad girl. I've seen Whitney in a rare video excited watching the movie "Set It Off". I've always pictured her in that kind of movie although she seemed to be a humble. loving, and very kind person. I'm glad that Whitney stayed that humble, loving, and kind person and did not change.

When I saw Whitney's video "Watchulookinat", it looked as if Whitney had something to say. She looked as if she had a lot inside. There was a Whitney I had never seen before, and I enjoyed her video. I didn't mind hearing Whitney Houston sing and act out a frustration. She had good reason for doing so because of the way she was being treated. It was good for Whitney to sing and act out her frustrations rather than keeping it locked up inside. I enjoyed her new look and style in the video, "Watchulookinat". I thought, "Whitney could be someone else, and she is a great actress, I love Nippy."

I Love NIPPY

Concert and Film _ I Will Always Love You

YouTube
Whitney Houston sung her heart out singing, I Will    Always Love You. She appeared to be singing the words to many people. Did she know that she would some day leave us? Probably so, and she gave us her all.
I wonder how the people feel today that walked out on  Whitney when she couldn't give them her best singing. Did they really love her? Whitney was fighting because she loved her fans, and I can truly understand if she thought she didn't have that same love back from some of her fans.

Whitney had some fans that never got a chance to meet her that wanted to be her friend. Not all fans want an autograph. What's an autograph? Just a signed name on something you can burn. A friend is something Whitney would have remembered.

My heart is in grief you see because I didn't get the chance to meet Whitney or even be her friend. I wanted to be the one to tell her that she was better than cigarettes because she helped people to live and smoking has caused people to die. But I would have let her smoke her cigarettes and would have gave her the space she needed. I would have never stopped being her friend, and any argument between us would have stayed between us in life and in death. I would have always loved her and I still do.

When Whitney was alive singing, I Will Always Love You, it was only a song to me back then. Now that she's gone, it is saying more. Back then, Whitney was just a talented singer to the eyes and ears of many. She must have been more than that from a distance because now we can see how much she means.

There are Whitney Houston fans that make beautiful videos and remixes of Whitney's songs today. Check out the concert and film put together of Whitney Houston singing I Will Always Love You.

Whitney Houston - Cautionary Tale?

What is a cautionary tale? When it comes to Whitney Houston, should the story of her life and death be called a tale at all? A cautionary tale is a tale told in folklore, to warn its listener of a danger. For Whitney, there was danger but why warn the listeners that way? Everybody is saying different things about Whitney and how she lived and died. You can tell that there are things left out and not being said in the story. I don't believe that the whole truth is told. The story doesn't add up and left as a mystery of how she really died to my mind.

Sometimes I have to wonder if the story was being told to us from the beginning while Whitney was alive. She told us about some of the fears that she had. We saw signs of depression on her face. Whatever it was about, I do not believe that some of it was of her own demons.

Whatever happened to Whitney Houston, God is not pleased. If other people were involved in Whitney's death, they also have a price to pay. It is possible that they will pay the price worse than whatever so called price Whitney had to pay for fame. Whitney may not have been an angel, but she still was somebody's child. That child belonged to God. It was him that took her on out of this world to be with him. And if she is not gone, (because I didn't see her body, and I didn't see her buried) God is with her where ever she is.

Hollywood dressed Whitney in a black cloak in the movie, The Bodyguard. It is a place of fantasy. It is a place that can tell you the truth in diguise through movies and stories. Maybe that movie told us what was actually going to happen to Whitney. Usually, black represents darkness or death. However, if Whitney is in heaven, God has given her a white robe. He has more to offer in his kingdom than that of Hollywood. And remember, life is not fantasy, the people .. they are not fantasy, and neither is God.

Denzel Washington Talks About The Holy Spirit

YouTube
When I first saw and heard about Denzel Washington, I knew very little about him. I knew nothing about his background. When I saw him in the movie The Preachers Wife with Whitney Houston, Fallen, and  Eli, it made me wonder if he were a religious guy.

Before I knew Denzel had a family, I always pictured Whitney Houston dating him. Like Whitney, Denzel knew God and there were things in his life that he wasn't ready to give up like partying. Partying can involve other things besides dancing and having clean fun. It can involve things not good for the soul. But having a good time is not a bad thing. It's good to think about God when we do things. That doesn't mean we have to give up everything and not enjoy this earthly life.We just need to stay away from the things that can send our souls to hell and do things the right way.

Like Whitney, Denzel Washington knew God but was also growing in God. Growing in God is something we need to try to do everyday. We don't get God all at one time. However, he knew who we were before we  were ever born. God knows us better than we know ourselves. Satan also knows. He's always tempting those that does not belong to him and tries to get them on his side. Satan knows those he doesn't have and knows who the heroes are.

In the video, Denzel talks about The Holy Spirit and his experience.

Both Bobby and Whitney Dealt with Drugs Before Marriage

YouTube
Why didn't the media and documentaries and ect. just come on out and say that both Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston both were doing drugs before marriage? That would have cleared up the false statement about Bobby Brown introducing Whitney to drugs altogether. It would have explained both sides. They told the part about how Whitney was already doing drugs and never told the part about Bobby doing them too before he met Whitney. That gave people room to make Bobby Brown look good and Whitney Houston look bad by herself. They both were doing drugs. People tell what they want to tell and leave out the things they want to leave out. Now that we know both Whitney and Bobby have dealt with drugs before they were married, we can see more of a clearer picture on things.

ABC Chris Connelly told how drugs were thrown on stage to Bobby Brown in a performance on stage. It appeared to be a 1989 performance according to the video. People were saying that Bobby was the bad boy. Well, they weren't saying it for nothing. Whitney didn't appear to be doing anything to mess up her image and career until she got married to Bobby and started having problems in her marriage. If there were problems before then, we couldn't tell. You could see troubles on her face a lot when she got married. Every eye is not shut and every shut eye is not asleep.

Whitney Houston Changed & Wanted a Husband & Child

Bobbi Kristina/Wikipedia
When Whitney Houston was young, it was like her life was just beginning. She had a whole life ahead of her and plenty of time to think about what she wanted out of life. I'm sure she did some crazy things and experimented like most people do when they are young. From what we were told, Roybn Crawford was her first best friend. She shared her feelings with her. Whitney was growing and learning who she was and what she really wanted.

People sometimes can't see past their eyelids and don't want to see. They like to judge and hold things over your head for the rest of your entire life. When you read the tabloids and watch the news, they mention Whitney's past so much that you forget what she had done for the present. People get caught up in a person's past life. Everybody has done things wrong in life. Even the people that spread the gossip are doing wrong. They need to stay out of people's lives and tend to their own. However people don't see it that way. So moving right along.

Whitney got married to Bobby Brown and wanted to have children. She had one child that we know of named Bobbi. There was nothing wrong with Whitney Houston. She wanted a husband. Sometimes Whitney looked depressed and dealt with drugs. I think Whitney couldn't live her life and be herself the way she wanted to. It looked as if other folks were intervening and trying to make choices for her. She had her family and she had a career answering to the world with music. That can be a lot of pressure. I wouldn't have lasted as long as Whitney Houston. Both my family and the music business would have been angry at me. Fans too. I would have been gone somewhere early before things got started. Whitney Houston was strong and God kept her until it was time for her to go. God was her strength. You won't go until God say it's time.

Whitney Houston chose to marry Bobby Brown. He may not have been the best man in the world but he was a man. I think she could have done better, but Bobby was whom she chose and nobody could stop her. That was her choice. The marriage didn't work, and Whitney had to be the one to see that for herself. Though the marriage didn't work, the best thing out of the marriage might have been their daughter, Bobbi Kristina. She stood by her mom and looked as if she had the most sense in doing so.

Did Whitney Want The World To See "Can I Be Me" Documentary?

YouTube/ShowTime
According to Wikipedia, Whitney: Can I Be Me is a 2017 British-American documentary film that was written, co-produced and co-directed by Nick Broomfield. The film's subject is the life and career of singer Whitney Houston.

Using Whitney Houston's death on February 11, 2012 as a starting point, the documentary investigates Houston's history and her emotional connections with her family and friends. The film uses archive footage from Houston's 1999 World Tour mixed with testimonies from Houston's family, friends and musicians who worked with her.

Did Whitney know that the footage of her tour was going to be turned into a documentary? Did Whitney want her fans to know that she was having some problems? I think she did or else she would have never let someone film her crying in her dressing room. But whether or not she knew that it would be used as a documentary, I don't know.
Robyn Crawford had been Whitney's friend for years, and one of the friends the documentary mentioned. She was in Whitney's life before she met Bobby Brown. Robyn was someone Whitney knew she could trust, and it must have been hard to let her go. Whitney worked with Robyn it seemed. Her friend seemed kind of intelligent in helping her and in being by her side. However, it is said that Roybn was more than just a friend to Whitney. So after Whitney got married to Bobby Brown, you can see why some changes needed to be made. Whitney became a wife to a man, and her man knew how much love she had for her friend. So naturally, Bobby would be jealous as her husband. I don't believe Robyn wanted to let Whitney go. So if Robyn had not separated herself from Whitney, it might would have eventually been a big major problem. Robyn did right by leaving.
It has been said that Bobby was cheating on Whitney. Today, Bobby is saying that Whitney was cheating on him too. People forget about those marriage vows to all mighty God, and two wrongs don't make a right. I know that Whitney loved God, and that does not mean that she was so perfect. She looked as if she tried to make her marriage work and cared for her husband to try to make things right. Did Bobby love God? I won't say that I cannot tell. A man that loves God would not have done the things that he had done to Whitney. On the day he got married, if he had seen Whitney messing with drugs, he should have steered her in the right direction. If you marry, it is important to marry someone that cares for God. If someone doesn't care for God, they won't care for him or herself. They won't care for you the way that they should.
2 Cor. 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked .......

Sometimes although we know God, it's possible that we still can grow up troubled, and sometimes we do the things we have seen our parents do. Sometimes because we are troubled, we may do things mentally. Life can be very confusing when we don't know why we are troubled or why we do the things we do. If we can find out what is troubling us, maybe we can cope with life better and get the problem solved.

Robyn came into Whitney's life at a time maybe when she didn't have a friend. They got along good together and Whitney held on to that friend. Robyn knew what Whitney needed and how to care, and maybe Robyn needed someone to care too. I don't know how the two of them felt about men when they were young. I don't know if they were even dating guys when they met. But I feel that Whitney did need someone besides her family, and maybe Robyn did too. If they were raised up the way I was raised, girls stayed with the girls and guys  hung with guys. After starting to school, you learned to mingle with everyone. So there may have been something missing in Whitney's life. It's possible that it could have been simply that she needed a sister being the only girl. Maybe she needed someone there to talk to her about her feelings and guide her right. I think we all need that and we don't always have that.

I think it's good that the documentary was made about Whitney. Fans need to see that celebrities are people too. They do not need to idolize them so much that they think they don't make mistakes. Celebrities do not need to be worshipped. God is a jealous God, according to Duet. 6:15. We need to pray for one another, and we are all human beings.

Whitney Houston - Saving All My Love Podcast

Wikipedia Usage: Fair Use
Watching Whitney Houston's music video, "Saving All My Love for You", is like watching a mini movie. Whitney Houston would have made a great soap opera star. I could see all of these things in Whitney before she began acting. And she became a movie star.

But getting back to the video, Saving All My Love for You, when Whitney walked away alone, she looked so cool. She was smooth, and not one tear did she shed. You know some women just cry and cry and cry over a man. In the video, Whitney was cool because she was doing the words she was singing. She was saving all her love for the man she wanted.

That man was cool too though. He walked away and went back to his woman. He had to be strong to walk away. (Singing) Whitney was singing some strong feelings there for the song.

In real life, Whitney was a beautiful model and fashion lady. She looked beautiful in the video, and the video had me questioning saying, "And she didn't get that man?" (Singing)

"Saving All My Love for You" is a song written by Michael Masser and Gerry Goffin. It was recorded by Whitney Houston for her debut, self-titled album and released on Feb. 14, 1985, by Arista Records. The song received generally favorable reviews from music critics, who picked it as one of the albums's highlights and praised her vocals on the song. Houston also earned her first Grammy Award with the song, on the category Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. I'm Gail Nobles, and you're listening to the Whitney Soul Podcast.

Jazmine Katrina as Whitney Houston

Jazmine Katrina has done an outstanding performance singing one of Whitney Houston's hits written by Dolly Parton, I Will Always Love You.
She looks as if she could be kin to Whitney Houston and also has a great singing voice. The tribute artist has Whitney's personality when she sings. You can't help but watch her expressions.

When it comes to creating a hologram, Jazmine could be part of it, and she could also play as Whitney Houston for the bio movie. She sings well enough and she acts like Whitney. The tribute artist can carry her voice out like Whitney.

Gloria Gaynor I Will Survive - A Song For All of Us

YouTube
Whenever I hear Gloria Gaynor's song, "I Will Survive", it really helps me along. It is a song for all of us.  Gloria sung it to MJ, a friend to Whitney Houston. Gloria sung it at Michael's 30th Anniversary who is also resting in peace. We all will survive in the afterlife if we do our best while we live in this life. Never give up.

Whitney, Bobby, and The Group Sunday on 106 and Park 2000

YouTube
Do you remember when Whitney and Bobby were on BET's 106 & Park 2000 with AJ and Free? I don't. I was probably worried about my mom during that time and her sickness and didn't watch television as much. Thanks to YouTube and all of the people that post videos, I can see the things I've missed.

It looks as though Whitney and Bobby were planning to do big things together and appeared on BET's network number 1 rated show. There may have been bad times, but it appeared that there were good times for Whit and Bob. I wish that Whitney had stayed alive, and I wish that she and Bobby could have stayed happily married.
YouTube
If only they could have worked things out and kept on doing things together, but life goes on. Sometimes I feel sad that things happened the way it did.  I feel sad that Bobby lost his daughter. Not only that, but I feel sad for me too when I lost my mom. I can totally understand their situation, but something tells me to be of good cheer. When bad things happen, you got to keep moving.

Whitney and Bobby looked like a fun couple when you saw them doing things together. They brought the group Sunday who were from Newark on BET and introduced them.

He, I Believe - Whitney Houston

YouTube
When you hear Whitney Houston sing, you can tell that she is singing from her heart. You can tell that she loved singing. God gave her a wonderful gift. Whitney loved singing, and she used her gift in a good way. She didn't have to sell sex and all the wrong things people do to make it. Whitney was very spiritual, and I believe God was pleased with that. He is spiritual. The perfect example is when you hear her sing the song, HE, I BELIEVE.

The Heart of Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston traveled all over the world. She liked visiting places like Israel. Whitney loved reading her Bible, and she loved children. Sometimes she was troubled like a human being sometimes will be, but there were good things in her heart that came out.

Fans still mourn about Whitney Houston's death. They comment and post on her pictures and videos on social media everyday.

Whitney Houston: Luther Vandross - Amazing Love

Wikipedia.org

You've heard Luther Vandross sing something like this (Singing) Love has truly been good to me Not even one sad day or minute have I had since you've come my way.

And back in 1999, Whitney Houston sang live giving tribute to Luther Vandross.

(Singing) I hope you know, I'd gladly go Anywhere you'd take me It's so amazing to be loved I'd follow you to the moon in the sky above

Yes, Amazing Love by Luther Vandross. Beautiful song. I enjoyed hearing Luther Vandross sing it. (singing) I enjoyed hearing Whitney's tribute to Luther. It's a memory to cherish. (singing)

Whitney said: My mother told me about Luther Vandross. Not only what a great singer, vocalist; writer, but what a great person he is.

And Luther said: I've sung with Whitney since she was younger. Her mother use to hire me and her to sing background with her...... I'm Gail Nobles, and you're listening to the Whitney Soul Podcast. (Singing)

Whitney Houston and Will Smith Dancing

YouTube
Will and his wife Jada seemed to be close friends with Whitney Houston in the 90's. I never saw them together hardly on television. Jada mentioned that Whitney went to her baby shower when she was expecting Jaden. So there are some things that maybe fans didn't get to see behind the scenes of television or in pictures for magazines.

Here is a video of Will and Whitney dancing together. You might remember this moment.

According to Jada Pinkett, Whitney Houston is a very fun and fierce person. I can believe that. Jada was lucky to get to know Whitney. I feel that Will and Jada was fun for Whitney Houston. I think she was starting to make some good friends.

There Could Have Been A Bodyguard 2 (ONE MORE Time for Love)

Photo credit: By Source, Fair use, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?curid=1746793

I'm Gail Nobles and You're listening to Movies Unmade. Today's topic is "There Could Have Been a Bodyguard 2"

We've seen The Bodyguard It is a 1992 Romantic thriller film directed by Mick Jackson, and Produced by Kevin Costner and Jim Wilson, and starring Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston. The film was written by Lawrence Kasdan.

Now lets talk about the characters. Rachel, played by Whitney Houston, is an Academy Award -- nominated actress and music superstar who is being sent death threats by a stalker. Frank, played by Kevin Costner, was formally a secret service agent who protected Rachel.

It would have been nice to see a Bodyguard 2 film starring Whitney Houston & Keven Costner. What would have made a 2nd movie of it interesting is to see Rachel save Frank. It would have been fun to see Rachel shoot guns during a time when Frank could have been out numbered by several bad guys. They could have been a team.

In the Bodyguard movie, Rachel and Frank leaves each other in the end kissing goodbye. It would have been nice to see them in A Bodyguard 2 movie escaping together. The movie could have been a film with more action than the first. I would have loved to have seen Frank and Rachel together one more time starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner.

Whitney Houston left us with such a great memory. Thank you Kevin Costner for choosing her. I wish I could see you both just one more time .........

Whitney Houston Empower and Black Power

YouTube
Most of the time when I think of Whitney Houston, I think of the word Empower. In one of her music videos, she sings words mentioning she learned from the best. She sang with great authority and was very confident. I saw Whitney as a very strong singer and person.

With so much going on in the world right now today from Corona virus to racial problems to protesting and death, I still think of Whitney when I tune in into the music world. I see a great deal of black power when I look at photos and videos of Whitney now for sure. I saw a strong black woman from Newark going through a lot right before my eyes. There were things I didn't know that I saw, and there were things I didn't know that Whitney was going through. We didn't see the whole picture. The truth was in Whitney and her life. Not in the tabloids and what the world had to say about her. Whitney must speak for herself. Her life did some speaking, but only God knows all details.

What I heard happened to Whitney can happen to any of us. Look at the world today. We don't know what we'll have to face. We don't know what might drive us to do something wrong. Whitney died at the age of 48. Those of us that are still young in our 20's and 30's will be blessed if we get her age. We'll be blessed to make it to a career. If we do, like Whitney had done, we should always thank God. I thank God for sharing Whitney with us in music and how she empowered some of us as a woman with black power.
