BeBe Winans Interview

This is a video on BeBe Winans and his thoughts of Whitney Houston. When I read his book, I read some funny things about how Whitney could be mischievous. I don't remember anybody in my life that has not been mischievous. Some people are more mischievous than others, but I think we all have been some time in our lives. We look back at the times when we were young and say, those were the good old days. Those were the days when we were young and did not have a conscious. Now we are older, much wiser, and we are more afraid about doing some things.

BeBe said in his book that Whitney was not a good driver. He said that Whitney could not cook. I believe she could have been a good cook, but her life was just busy in that entertainment world. Singing was her heart. Maybe she did not have the heart for cooking and never took the time to really learn. Maybe no one ever took time and pain with her to help her to be a better driver. I can understand. Some things we can learn on our own by practicing everyday. Sometimes we can learn just being around other folks and watching what they do. It's good to know about Whitney Houston as a human being.

I'm glad BeBe shared the Whitney he Knew with us in his book. I enjoyed his funny stories about her. The Whitney he calls crazy would have been fun for me. She would have made me laugh.

1-800 Media Lies and Help

A Comic Tale about the media lying on Whitney Houston
Copyright © 2012 by Gail Nobles

Whitney Houston was outside looking at her neighbor next door one day in Beverly Hills, California. Her neighbor lived in the neighborhood long before she did and never spoke to Whitney.

Whitney: What have I done to make my neighbor dislike me? Whenever I wave my hand, she looks as if she doesn’t see me, and I know she see me. She looks right at me.

(Whitney decided to make her neighbor speak). Hey! Mrs. Newby! I said Hey, Mrs. Newby! How are you doing! (Whitney was waving her hands in the air getting her neighbor’s attention).

Mrs. Newby didn’t like to be embarrassed, and she did not want the world to think bad of her for not speaking. She saw camera men snapping pictures of her and Whitney, but Whitney did not see. Mrs. Newby waved her hand at Whitney and quickly went inside, and she shut her door.

Whitney turned and saw camera men from a long distance snapping pictures. Whitney went inside her house thinking about her hidden camera outdoors.

Whitney: Humph! I take pictures too.

The next day, Whitney walked into a grocery store and saw news that they had written about her in a newspaper called Star Struck. She was on the front cover. The paper had said that Whitney was avoiding her neighbors and causing trouble in her neighborhood.

Whitney: Alright! I have had enough! (Whitney sued Star Struck newspaper, and all of the magazines and newspapers that wrote the same story after that newspaper. She won the case and had proof from her hidden camera that Star Struck had written a lie about her and her neighbor. The Star Struck tabloid of Whitney and her video was used in a television commercial for lawyers.

It took a while, but Mrs. Newby had seen the television commercial how the media had lied on Whitney. She saw herself on Whitney’s video tape. Mrs. Newby gave Whitney a call after the case was over.

Mrs. Newby: I never spoke to you and treated you like a neighbor. I thought you were trouble because of the media lies. They led me to believe false things about you, and it stopped me from treating you like a neighbor. Forgive me.

Whitney: I forgive you. Thanks for helping me sue.

Mrs. Newby: Thanks for sharing the cash.

Television in Mrs. Newby‘s house: If you are a celebrity being lied on by the media or a common person that has been framed, just call 1-800 media lies and help…..

Whitney Houston gained more respect as a celebrity, and she made more celebrity friends. Fans began to notice Whitney even more. They had 1-800 media lies and help bumper stickers and T-shirts with Whitney’s face as the logo. Whitney was famous again because of her commercial for lawyers. Everybody was calling the 1-800 number.

Whitney Houston - Art Expressing Her Song

Whitney Houston sung a song titled, "I Have Nothing". It's the words, I have nothing, that made me listen to her song. When she sings the words, if I don't have you, it makes me think about how sad life is when we loose someone close to us.

The music world is sad without Whitney Houston. I don't care about the music. To have her here would be enough for me. If Whitney could be here and be happy, that would make me happy again. Tonight I think of her in my art and spare time.

Whitney Houston and Diana Ross Sings for Muhammad Ali

From YouTube
Whitney Houston and Diana Ross sings, "You've Got a Friend", to Muhammad Ali. I missed this one when it came on television. I never knew that Diana Ross and Whitney Houston sung together.

Whitney and Bobbi at Prince Concert

From TMZ
Parents grow old. Let them be young with you while they can. Bobbi and Whitney had a great happy moment together at Prince concert. You can tell that Whitney was not just a mom, but a sister and best friend for her daughter. Their mother and daughter relationship looked very familiar to me. Bobbi and Whitney were having fun. That is how it should be between mother and daughter.

I think about what the Bible said: (Luke 12:53) The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

I'm glad Whitney and Bobbi had happy moments together and spent time together while they could. It makes me think of the relationship I use to have with my mother. I'm glad that the scripture above did not happen in our lives. Yes, there were times when I got a little upset with my mom, and she got upset with me. That is a part of life, but we were never against each other. It doesn't look like Whitney and Bobbi were against each other. It looks like Whitney tried to leave Bobbi with happy memories.

Candace Singing With Whitney Houston

From YouTube
To me, Candace has a great voice. She was so excited about Whitney Houston that she was sometimes off key. Candace was not concentrating on her singing looking up to Whitney so much. Whitney knew Candace could sing and was so into her singing. When Candace would stop to talk, Whitney would hold her head wishing that Candace would sing. Candace was an excited fan with a big voice. Whitney had a lot of heart for her fans. Candace might would have had a chance to be a singer, but she was just too excited. She saw and heard Whitney and was overlooking herself. Whitney was trying to give Candace a chance because Whitney knew her fans had something too. Whitney made room for others.

Whitney and CeCe - Count On Me

From YouTube
Whitney Houston and CeCe Winans sings Count On Me. Yea, I was counting on Whitney with faith. She was changing and things appeared to be getting better for her. I think Whitney knew that God was calling her near the end. Things are kind of hard to see in life sometimes, and especially when you are busy and on the go. It's hard to pay attention. Maybe God was showing Whitney her real purpose, and maybe Whitney was finally beginning to see. I will not say that singing was not her purpose, but I know that God had something better planned for her in a much better way. He had something better than just the spotlight of this world for her.

In Whitney, I saw myself. I use to beg God to let me into the entertainment world, and he told me no. He mentioned to me that there were bad things going on and how people cursed his name. I probably wouldn't have gotten as far as Whitney did. I might would have dropped out with God working on my conscious. Still, I was counting on Whitney. She acknowldeged God and reminded me of myself. Because of her upbringing, what she was taught never left Whitney though she experienced some bad things.

(Proverbs 22:6) Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Well, Whitney was getting older. Whitney was growing. I think she saw the entertainment world for what it was and is. She began to want to settle down with her Lord and Savior and find out how great she could be in him. I'm still counting on Whitney that she made it. I want to see her there.

Sheila E. Remembers Whitney

From YouTube
Sheila E. remembers Whitney Houston in eyes full of tears. I can tell that her tears were real. Sheila looks like someone that really had real feelings for Whitney. She did not look fake and looked as if she really was going to miss Whitney.

Whitney and Mariah Showed Hollywood Togetherness

From YouTube
When Mariah and Whitney sung together, I thought they sounded so much alike. However, in some areas of thier singing, if you listen carefully, they sound different.

My mother was listening to them one day and she pointed out something about Mariah's voice that I did not catch. My mother said, "Mariah sounds kind of like a country and western singer a little bit."

Mariah does sound like she could be a country singer although she sings like a soul singer. I believe she could make some beautiful hits singng country. Whitney could have also, but she probably would have made them soul like she did Dolly Parton's song, "I Will Always Love You". It became a giant hit all over again when she sung it. I have enjoyed Mariah's singing as much as I have enjoyed Whitney's singing. I'm glad that Mariah and Whitney decdided to do something together. Whitney and Mariah showed Hollywood that great talent can come together without competing all of the time. They showed Hollywood that you don't have to think that you are better than the next person because that's not what it is all about.

BeBe Winans Talks about the Whitney He knew

From Youtube
BeBe Winans talks about the Whitney he knew. Hearing his story makes me wish I knew more about the real Whitney. I have listened to Whitney Houston in interviews. It still wasn't like listening to Whitney confiding in you as a friend. If she confided in you as a friend, that friend knew a whole lot more than a radio man in an interview with her. In interview, she might not answer all of your questions for the media. However, when it came to family and friends, they probably knew a lot more because they were really around Whitney. BeBe tells an interesting story.

Whitney Houston on The Tom Joyner Morning Show 2009

Whitney Houston talks about her daughter singing, her songs, and a biopic. I listen to the Tom Joyner Morning show off and on at work. Whenever I hear the show, I think about Whitney because of this interview. I just wish the radio station would play her songs more often and on the oldie station. I hear Michael Jackson all of the time. I hardly ever hear Whitney. I think Whitney deserves to be heard more since she is a legend.

Whitney Houston - Million Dollar Bill

From YouTube
Million Dollar Bill was written by Alicia Keys. I enjoyed listening to this song when I heard Whitney sing it, but now I feel full in my stomach. In other words, I get sort of sad. Whitney was a million dollar bill, and it seemed as if she was tossed aside and died. Her death was a sad one, and I can't help but feel that some people didn't even care. I feel that Clive Davis should have postponed everything. It doesn't sound like he was upset enough. Clive should  have made everybody go home. He should have ended that party. Somebody should have corrected Clive because I don't think he was right. I was a little bit upset with Whitney too for going to the party. All of those friends Whitney had that were suppose to have been God fearing, and none of them told her not to go? Wish I was one of those friends. I would have given her something to think about. I would have been hated because I would have told her things that she did not want to hear. I've got to stop listening to how she died, because I know that she ought to be alive right now. I feel that she was a million dollar bill that was used. I try to remember the times that she was alive and entertained. I try to think that it was nothing more than music.

Helen Baylor Talks about Whitney Houston and Demonic Music Industry

From YouTube
Gospel Legend Helen Baylor talks about Whitney Houston, the music industry being demonic, and the gospel industry too. If the music industry is demonic, I think people should go on strike and leave it alone. People should make business for themselves if they have any knowledge on how to promote, record, and produce their own records. That is my opinion. Check out the video.

Kim Burrell on Whitney's Faith

From YouTube
People felt that Whitney had a calling. Kim Burrell and others thought so. The Bible said in Matt. 22:14 "For many are called, but few are chosen." It would have been a big responsibility for Whitney. I think that Whitney did right by not getting into the pulpit with the problems that she had. You have to be pretty near perfect and doing what is right yourself before you can lead others. Whitney had a struggle with drugs. There is one thing that I do know. God will remember Whitney's conversations of him and being interested in him. ( Malachi 3:16) "Then they that feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD listened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought on his name." I know that God will remember from my own experience.

It is not meant for everybody to be in the pulpit. There are women that have the gift to preach, but that does not always mean that they have to go behind the pulpit. The Bible did not say that women could not preach, but it did say in 1 Corinthians 14:34 "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted (allowed) to them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also said the law."  Every man should not be behind the pulpit either. Some are not called. God does not work the same way all of the time with everybody. He did not call everybody to be a preacher. (Ephesians 4:11) " And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;" God may be using some people for the church and some outside of the church too. Whitney was in the recording business and could have preached sermons on records while singing gospel music. There are a lot of things Whitney could have done. It's possible that she had many talents. If Whitney wanted to preach, she could have reached that goal if she had stayed away from drugs, partying, the wrong crowd, and all of the things that just wasn't good for her.

Whitney had a hunger for God. Kim Burrell and others saw this. They think she was called to preach, but God may have had something else in mind.  I do not think that God would take a person away until they live their purpose. Maybe he was satisfied with Whitney and wanted her to rest. Whitney was growing. If she had lived, who knows what she would have turned out to be. If she's in heaven, God has bigger and better plans for Whitney. Something greater than we can ever imagine. Look on the bright side and think positive in God's word. There is hope.

BeBe Winans Talks about Whitney's Christian Walk

BeBe Winans talks about Whitney's Christian walk in an article here.. I think it was a very good article because BeBe did not judge Whitney, and he told you what he knew about Whitney. He gave his side of the story and his point of view. BeBe told us about the Whitney he knew. He actually met her, knew her, and was around her. We have our own point of view and did not know Whitney at all. Our point of view is from the hear say of the media. So that means we really did not know Whitney for ourselves. We did not know what was in her heart. However, no matter what Whitney has done wrong, I forgive her, and I hope that God forgives me if I fall. To me, Whitney did not fall if she called on the name of God in the end. If I fall, I hope I am able to speak while I'm falling and in my right mind. Some people can't even speak when they are dying. They can't say God forgive me and are lucky if they can say it in their minds. All of the criticizing  needs to stop because we don't know how life is going to treat us. We need to stop judging like God is an unforgiving God. You can always go back home to him, and he will accept you before your time is out. Whitney had the most important one on her mind all along and that was God. I do not know if she was really guided right on how to serve him, but at least she knew enough to go to him. Some never acknowledge him or go to him. You just can't overlook the good of a person because of the bad. Now, look at yourself.

God Be Merciful to Me a Sinner
(Luke 18:11-14) The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank you, that I am not as other men are, extortionists, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

Forgiveness
(Colossians 3:13) Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you.

Calling on the name of the Lord
(Romans 10:13)  For whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Comic Tale _The Camera Men

Like other Hollywood Stars, Whitney Houston was always followed by cameras. You could tell that it got on her nerves. Whitney had a lot going on in her life. Her life was a part of the cameras. Comic Tale: ....

Whitney: Who's banging on my door this time of night! I can't get no rest! Thought I could sit down in peace. (Whitney sees two camera men waiting outside of her door and taking pictures of things). I'm not opening no door. I don't care if they hear me, and I don't care if they see me. (Whitney catches a chill and goes towards her side window that was opened where the camera men couldn't see her. She knew that if she slammed down her window, the sound would travel around to her front door and sound like a gun). BAM! (Whitney heard fast footsteps running from her front door. She opened her front door holding a water gun. It looked like a real one in the dark to the eyes of the camera men. They raced off in their car. Whitney closes the door with a smirk on her face).

Whitney: Tomorrow, I'll be in the tabloids that I shot two camera men. I'll probably be on television too as sure as my nickname is Nippy. It's chilly downstairs. I'm going upstairs. I'm tired. Got to hit the sack and face another busy day tomorrow. People just don't know what I go through.

Note: I like to think of Whitney Houston as only sleeping. Rest in Peace Whitney. I love you.

Luke 8:52   And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleeps.

Whitney Houston "Hard Copy"

From YouTube
Do you remember the TV show, "Hard Copy"? It was a tabloid news show that ran from 1989 to 1999. Now that I think back, something was strange about the show. Me and my mom watched it together, and we were always getting news that nobody else in my hometown saw. I would ask them, "You didn't see the news? It was right on television on a show called Hard Copy." Then you just never saw the news again hoping that the show would show a repeat. I wanted to prove to my friends that I saw what I saw. I would tell them, "I can't help what I saw. If I'm lying, I'm lying after what I saw on that show. I didn't put the news on TV." Back then, I was naive. I did not think of the show as a tabloid news. My friends thought  the show might have been incorrect in their broadcast about some things. To me, it was just news and not gossip. Most of the time, the news that was brought on television told you the truth or they just wouldn't broadcast.

From YouTube
In this video from Hard Copy, it will carry you fast if you do not listen carefully. If you gather the information from the show too quickly, you will think that Whitney Houston had a child while filming the Bodyguard. The news will give you the hint that Whitney had another child coming on the way. The good thing about the news is it shared with you some things that you might not remember about Whitney. Hard Copy showed her on roller blades. The show said Whitney smoked cigarettes. It seemed like a show that told things about people that nobody believed back then. So to me, it was a show that told news way ahead of it's time for today.  They mentioned that Whitney was working on her latest film, but they never said which one. They made it sound like she didn't look glamorous in a robe. She still looked like the glamorous Whitney Houston to me.

Will Smith and Whitney Houston_Anything for You

From YouTube

Anything for You is a movie that was suppose to have happened between Will Smith and Whitney Houston. It is said that it was suppose to have been a romantic comedy. I don't think it ever happened. Sure would have been nice if it did. Would have been nice if Will and Jada Pinkett and Whitney and Bobby Brown were all in it together. It's nice to see a bunch of talent and people that are willing to stick together to make things happen. Well, Will and Whitney did have it on their minds to work together, and that's nice to know.

Whitney Houston and Hip Hop

From YouTube
If I had the turn tables, I would do a remix of Whitney Houston's, "One of Those Days", and Grandmaster Flash, "Bus Dis". Of course, I would have to get his permission. I would take the "Bus Dis" away from Grandmaster Flash and add it to the beginning of Whitney's song. When the song gets to the chorus of Whitney's, "One of Those Days", I would take away the Grand - Grand- Grandmaster and mix it with her chorus. When she got to the hello part of the song, there would have been a sound of the old style telephone ringing. You see, Whitney could have been hip hop too. Then again, she had to be. I can sense it in her music. It's just one of those days.

Whitney Houston and Disco

Google Image
If Whitney Houston was alive today, I would have asked her for a request on a new album. I would have asked her to bring back some new disco songs. Whitney could sing anything. I miss the days of Donna Summer, Chic, and Sister Sledge. Whitney loved dancing and disco makes you dance. People say that it is gone and in the past. Oh Yea? Then why come people still get excited when they hear disco? I know too many people that have never stopped listening to it. Disco hasn't gone anywhere and Whitney would have sounded great singing it. Chic that sings, "I Want Your Love", would have been a great back up for Whitney.
